    Sorry, given the nature of these things, it's tough to get everyone on these lists. I know it's not fair, undemocratic, and cliquish. But we just don't have the resources to buy five of these headphones and loan them out to everyone who wants in.

    you know, since the loaner tour is getting tight - as in busy tight - i wonder if anyone in the bay area who gets them can bring them to the meet on friday, or to a subsequent mini meet. that would kill quite a few birds with a 2 ether stones.

    EDIT: at least, for people like me who are casually interested in checking them out but don't need to bed them for several nights straight.

    Overture Audio in Ann Arbor. I know they have the Ember (open) for sure. I plan to head there on the 29th. They carry HiFiMan and Mr. Speakers.

    My apologies everybody! I have the Ether-C here and also the Ether open. I received the upgrade kit for the Ether open and need to drop it in and pass these both to the next person on the list...
    Let me try to do that tomorrow. Been crazy trying to get up to speed in the new job.
    I've heard a better ether open, hoping the upgrade helps but we'll see.
    The Ether closed surprised me with comfort and even sound...lots of good design overall (except non-standard connectors to earcups). Someone else said a bit thin but I find the sound signature nice and easy-going. Will really liked them. One of us may want to buy them when the loaner tour is over. Do I need them when I have Enigmas? (Do I want to be seen in the office wearing Enigmas?) Sorry for very short impressions.
    Plan on making it up to everybody with some loaner programs of gear. ;)
