    I originally took the thread title literally, but now realize that open Ethers are also included. I'm psyched now.

    How long is each person expected keep to loaners? It doesn't specify at the beginning of the thread. I'm hoping to hear the Ethers with my soon to arrive ampsandsound Mogwai, but build time is likely another two weeks. I should probably be bumped down on the list a person or two as I'm currently due to receive the headphones after Clem (who is next). Thanks!

    Took possession of the Ether / Ether C combo from Clem in person today. Had an extended listening session with the open Ethers and jotted down my impressions. When it came to audition the Ether C, I noticed that the cable is faulty. Sound only coming from the left channel, nothing in the right. I switched the open Ether cable over to the C, and found the C headphones work great. So yeah, it's the C cable. I've treated the cables and connects super gently (they clip in so easily, no force required) so don't think I'm at fault. Anyway, figured I'd say something as I don't want to be "that guy" who passes loaner equipment along without reporting an issue.

    I didn't use the Ether C cable at all. It is way too stiff. Left it in its case.

    User the Other's cable with both.

    Got it. The cable that has issues might not be the Ether C's. In any case, just put the non-working cable back in the box and we'll keep the loaner going.

    It's the one that was in the box with the Ether C when I got it.

    I actually only used the C the last day and already had the Ether's cable ready for use.

    Is the stiff cable the DUM?
