Update please. By the way, all those yet to receive the Ethers, please send $10 to [email protected] if you haven't done so already to contribute to the insurance pool. Put your handle and the name of this loaner in the notes section.

    Anyone?

And am I supposed to send $10 and ignore adding insurance through FedEx or UPS with each piece of loaner gear now?

Send a PM to @takato14. If he's dropping, send a PM to the next person on the list.

On insurance, yes, you have it right.

    ‘Cause I’m saving up for gold teeth that say F, U, N, D, E, D, B, Y, S, B, A, F :p

Yes, Marv is okay with this.

On a serious note: these funds are going directly into the Changstar PP, and no longer being redirected by me.

lol I was done with them listening wise after roughly the first ~20 minutes

I just finished measuring both so I'll be sending them on to the next person ASAP.

lazy impressions: the Ether-C was just way too thin, bass and mids, clarity, imaging, etc were actually pretty decent, and the headphones isolate very well while being very comfy. The open Ethers were conversely complete poop.

Did you try Ether C with any of the additional driver filters? That helped quite a bit for me. I also made sure you got them in the correct, stock form right out of the box. ;)

Ether Open is an odd duck.

Tak, please send these out right away if you haven't already. Let's get this moving and let's limit to 5 days as Marv suggested.

No update here either. Whoever has this--speak up.

@Tim Thomas, did you receive? @takato14, pull it out of the squirrel and post an update, man.

I didn't realize the loaner didn't come with a regular 6.3mm cable. Only XLR. And seeing as how I have no XLR amps or XLR adapters... Don't know what I will do. Maybe I will go to a friend's house who has an Auralic and try it out of that. Or I could just see if I can meet up with @logscool and hand it over to him personally.

If you have time, money, and Prime, there's an adapter on Amazon that might be worth buying to have around. That's what I did.

I'm actually back in Michigan now so I will unfortunately be unable to meet up with you in person @Bagged Milk. Hope you can figure something out so that you can try them out.
