I have 3 setups which I'll briefly describe below:

main 2 channel: Marantz PM7005 int amp, CD5005CD, Modi Multibit DAC, Marantz TT15S1 table with Parks Audio puffin phono pre, and 2 LS-50s on stands with powered sub. I also occasionally plug in a streamer or 3.5mm DAP (Pono or Pioneer) into the integrated amp. The amp has a USB dac, as well as the modi multibit now. Anyways, assume CD and vinyl use here.

2nd setup is just 2 old EPI Tower 120 speakers, connected to old Sanyo direct drive table, with Schiit Mani phono pre, and a CD player attached, with '80s Nakamichi TA1 35wpc receiver.

3rd setup is in office, RLC line level preamp, to old Mitsubishi power amp, to 2 old Radio Shack 3 way speakers. Sound is fine for it's use. Inputs are xbox digital optical to stereo (not really into HT at this time), do have a sub here though, along with 3.5mm input for DAPs, and and a USB Dragonfly DAC on the computer for computer audio out.

For the main system at the top, I'm considering either an Aegir amp (single) with Sys preamp, or one of those Nobsound/Douk $250 jobs that are 10 watts Class A. I realize these are not enough power for LS50s, but I don't listen to this sytem very loud. On the Marantz which is 60w @ 8 ohms, 80w @ 4 ohms, rarely is volume past 9 o'clock.

Any thoughts on if a Class A amp replacing the Marantz would be a big difference? and if so, should I try a Nobsound/Douk out, or just go with Aegir? Thanks!
