    I know its not out just yet, but we're drawing very close to the release date and I'm sure I'm not the only one here who absolutely must get this thing on their head.

    Apparently it comes with configuration options? Possibly different material choices for non-sound-related parts, like the headband. It's pretty expensive (around $5.5k) so this probably needs a lot of support to actually happen.

    Who's with me? |{

    Ah fiddlesticks. I thought this was already a thing, turns out it's just a proposal.

    I'm one who really wants to get ears on these as well, but given my location it'd probably be a waste of logistical effort. Still, I've been wanting to get impressions off the other members since that K1000 measurements thread popped up. $5,500 is a lotta scratch though (wasn't it $4k? WTH happened?).

    FWIW, impressions on HF make me think this is little more than a novelty toy. Still, I'd love to be proven wrong— not enough weird toys in this hobby.

    The website says one thing ($5.5k), but the video says another ($4k). I'm not sure which is correct but its probably best to assume the worst at this point.

    Really would love to try these, as I'm finding myself more and more disappointed in the HD800 as time goes on and they're something I really would like to have in my stable simply based on looks alone...

    This headphone interests me, I will give it a listen at Canjam NYC in a couple of weeks.
    I own the K1000 for the past 15 years & still love it.Shines with the EC Studio.

    I've been following these since the beginning.
    As far as configurability is concerned they offer a 110 Ohm version (Mysphere 3.2) and a lower impedance version (Mysphere 3.1) with 15 Ohms. Their bass response apparently varies a lot depending on the output impedance of the amp due to the open design and the stress free surround.
    They also offer a bunch of cables (short/long/4-pole XLR).
    Price was supposed to be 3500€. Don't know where you saw $5500.
    Nonetheless, quite expensive.
    You're clearly paying for the "almost everything made in Austria/Europe", transducers made in house, CNC machined and hardened aluminium parts, 40 gold plated neodymium magnets, small scale production, development of that new diaphragm, the novelty aspect and Heinz Renner's new house.
    I think they're pretty cool.
    Only problem I see right now is the bass. If you fold them open you lose quite a bit of subbass and even with the transducer sitting more closely to the ear they have around 6% THD @94dB@40Hz. Far less than the K1000 but not on the level of the Utopia.

    From website: "the price will range from € 3,500 to € 4,500" , or approx. $4350.00-$5590.00 USD.
