Nerd/tech fashion, Outlier and fitpics thread

I should post a pic of me half dead, in a pool of sweat after CrossFit WOD…..

 

I dress like an awkward mid-west middle-aged dad trying to embarrass his kids. My pants have too many pockets, and the leg size is determined by my knee braces. My shoes are that icky brown hiker that pretends to be a runner that I bought from a place with "warehouse" in the name. My shirts come from a place with "value" in the name. I have a leather belt, the good thick kind that holds up better than jumper cables. I'm just barely fashion savvy enough to know that I should not wear mid-shin socks with my cargo shorts, but will still wear ankle socks with sandals. I've had some of my underwear long enough to develop sentimental attachment.

 

My heart fluttered, and my loins stirred.

 

I'm a big fan of Outliers Stong / Bomb Dungarees as my daily winter wears and the New Ways for pretty much the other 3/4th's the year in the sun.

 

Is this to be a general style/clothing thread? I am not fashionable but I do care about style, fit, quality, etc. Maybe I start a general clothing discussion thread and leave this a more a gallery/flex thread?

 

I deeply care about my comfort and aesthetic, which can best be described as modern english land owner. I’m generally found wearing canvas, corduroy, or selvage denim slacks with a button down shirt and a tweed vest or jacket. My personal favorites for brands are vintage Orvis, PJ Haggrerty, Holland & Holland, or Swaine Adeney Briggs.

 

This WOD wasn't so bad..Still a good wakeup at 5:00 AM.
Clothes for gym are usually various Under Armour shirts and shorts. Some stuff from Rogue thrown in. Shoes are NoBull. They're kinda like Vans but firmer soles. I also do the occasional 50/50 cotton/poly blend t-shirt. I have sworn off 100% cotton. I just cant get the workout stank out of 100% cotton.

Daily non-workout wear is mostly the same depending on whats clean. I'm still working from home. I put jeans on last week for the first time since May. Its getting colder outside.

 

I'm generally found, around the house, wearing a pair of boxer shorts. If you are finding me, then I'll probably have slung a knee-length cotton cloth around my waist, on account of... visitors!

Had a real haircut about three weeks ago. First time since February 2020. Not too concerned about the appearance, but wow, it feels better!

 

I mostly wear workwear that I've picked up in Japan and stuff. But if it's extra shitty outside I have a few ACRONYM pieces I'll put it, it's good stuff.

 

Got my yzy gap round jacket.
Think I would need a few drinks in me to actually wear this fit out, mostly the pants

 

Thats your New Years Eve outfit right there. You cant deny the public, wear the headphones too!

 

My gf bought me lululemon pants for Christmas. They are tight in places that make me feel nervous in a non-aroused manner. I am confused by the lack of mid thigh pouches and loops from which to hang my tools. The corner of my phone is still visible in my pocket and it can't go in any deeper. Is... is this the new normal?
