New KEF LS50 Meta

    I mean, it's a compromise like anything else. I guess it's got a peak up high that requires a notch filter. But in return it's got lower inductance which *in general* leads to lower distortion.

    From my viewpoint, the Kef LS-50s meta's are an excellent speaker. I can see the argument it needs some subwoofer augmentation but it is not bright at all, the bass is very solid for such a small package to boot. Balance of sound is very clean and clear. I'll be looking to add a subwoofer and upgrade my amp with a pre and some Class D goodness but in my 12x11 home office, it fills the room with sonic ecstasy even with the amplification handicap I've saddled it with.
