    Thanks Warrior!

    Sure:
Wooseasy was the seller and Senfer was the brand. I hope you are friendlier over here. I just wanted to help another Head-Fier. Reasoning: Wooseasy allegedly manipulated reviews.

Here a tacit cooperation with @james444 and more so with @Biodegraded...I just posted this but could not mention them or HF:
    https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/hifi-walker-a1.23236/reviews

"...Mentions and references to SBAF will be removed.

    Thank you for understanding.

    Best Regards,..."

Um - unless things have changed over there since I was moderating, there was never a ban for mentioning WooEasy - simply a message advising why their products weren't allowed to be reviewed on Head-Fi (and subsequent review removed). And the reason was because they were actively shilling (paying people for positive reviews), and then they lied about doing it. Eventually the deception was untangled ( A LOT of proof). They never made any attempt at apologising for what they did - so their products were black-listed.

No-one I know was ever banned - and i'd be genuinely surprised if they ever would be. The only reason you would be removed from a thread would be continuing to mention them after you'd been advised not to. Then thats on you.

But thats there - welcome to SBAF.

Hi everyone. Been lurking here for a while. I began my audio hobby early 2016. So far I have lived with roughly 40 headphones and iems and have settled on HD650 (2013), ATH-AD2000, ER4SR. I also have E-MU Teaks on the way.

My HD650s are my favourite cans, and I prefer them over HD800s (lived with for over 4 months) and HE-500s (bought twice) for its smoothness, tonal balance and cohesiveness from mids to treble. I have demoed other high end cans but haven't had the urge to upgrade. From what I have heard, the Susvara (25-30 minute demo) and HE-1 (demoed 2 tracks) were the only ones that I would consider a direct upgrade path to the HD650s, but cannot justify the prices for those.

I'm mostly interested in nearfield monitors now and looking to eventually upgrade my LSR305s.

Hello SBAF, been a lurker for a little bit, posted a couple times in the Verum thread. I'm a dad of 4 and I mostly use my headphones to maintain my sanity, lol. If your curious at all about the gear I use/have currently, click the spoiler in my sig. Happy to be here and I look forward to doing some more reading up on things on site.

Thought so. Welcome aboard. You will definitely like it here, I think more of your flavor. A lot less hype here (as you probably already know from lurking). Good to have you here.

    Hi Everyone,

I have been casually reading these forums for about a year and a half now ever since I was bitten by the audio bug early last year. Started off with IEMs and slowly progressed to headphones and now with a desktop setup.

My preferred sound signature is smooth and warm; I appreciate the energy and resolution but am treble sensitive so I have always stayed away from the very clinical/reference sounding gear.

Here are some of the gear that I own (have owned) and enjoy, which would be in line with my preference stated above:

    IEMs:
    • JVC HA-FW01 (Wood)
    • Fitear TG 334
    • 64 Audio U12
    Headphones:
    • HD650s
    • ZMF Cherry Eikons
    • Very close to buying a ZMF Auteur
    DAP/DAC/AMPs
    • Schiit Modi Multibit
    • Schiit Lyr 3
    • FIIO X5 III DAP
Am no where near as technically savvy as 99.9% of the awesome guys out here but I really enjoy reading up and learning from forums. For me the music is all about the pure enjoyment when I put those headphones on, rather than hearing every single micro detail.

    Nice to meet everyone!

I am an electrical engineer by training and background who specialized in digital signal processing. I know a thing or two about DAC's and digital filters. My math and design are now in production protecting America today. I got into tech leadership and now help other leaders build healthy, high-performing organizations.

I love music. Classical, New age, instrumental, pop, some country, electronic, lots of genres. I care first and foremost making music sound like the artist intended. It's a big part of my life. Everyday.

Looking forward to getting to know people here and learning more. Been lurking here for a while and have enjoyed the excellent technical information and clarity. This site is a wealth of great information on suppliers, insights, and just subjective opinions. While an engineer by background I'm not hung up on objective measurements. I realize that sometimes the music just sounds better and that's fine with me. My EE side wants to understand it.

    My setup:

Sources: Spotify Premium, Tidal Premium. Google Music.
    Transport: Google Chromecast optical. USB/Eitr
DACS: Fulla 2 (in the truck), Modi Multibit, Bifrost Multibit, Gungnir Multibit.
    Amps: Magni 3, Lyr 3, Darkvoice 336SE, Mjolnir 2.
    Headphones: Sennheiser 6XX, 58X, AKG 7XX, HM 4XX, Bose QC2, 35.

    Hi all!

Nice to finally say hello, been lurking well over a year, had been listening to an HD600/O2+SDAC combo for a while before making my way over here. Love the approach and civil discussion of both impressions and measurements, feels like the best place to get the kind of information I'm looking for, with a nice group of members, to boot.

My current setups are in my signature for work and on the go, but I still need to get a good setup for home now (been at work more than home lately). Headphones that have my interest are HD800, LCD-2C, Atticus, Sundara, and K712, as well as Andromeda IEMs. I tend to listen to progressive/technical rock/metal, and generally prefer fast, detailed, resolving, neutral, tonally accurate cans with good soundstage/imaging. If you know of any headphones (or amps!) that fit the bill particularly well, let me know!

    Cheers!

    Hey.

New to the hobby, looking forward to continued lurking and posting the odd question.

I had B&W P7, I have an old set of Quat phone 70, and I will have SennXMassdrop Hd58X and an Audio-gd NFB 11.38 which I know isn't very popular here. It's my first headphone amp, so I won't have anything to compare it to and if it is that bad well no where to go but up. Thinking my next set of headphones will be the Argons.

    Hello,

I've decided to finally knock on the door so to speak after many months of lurking here.
The MCTH thread and various other tube related threads here have helped me greatly in my audiophile pursuits over the past year, and I hope to give back at least a bit of what this community has given to me.
I'm still a lurker at heart so I'll be lurkin' 99% of my time here, but I'll give my input when I feel it's applicable/helpful.

    P.S. I'm a die-hard HD650 fan.
