KEF R 900s, Kinki Studio EX M1, Rotel RC/RB 1590, Rotel RCD 1572, Nuprime Evolution DAC, Nuprime CDT 8 Pro, Bluesound Node 2 (waiting for Innuos Zen mini), Cardas and Transparent interconnects, Transparent speaker cables, and hand made Dueland speaker cables.

Last summer, I sold a 20 year old Mac c15/mc202, and Martin Logan SL 3 speakers bought from Jim Tweeten himself at the original Magnolia HiFi on Roosevelt! I love cds but streaming with Tidal is fantastic.

Hello there. My name is Robert and I'm a lawyer based in the Hague, the Netherlands.

In my college years I bought an audio-gd fun and hd600 and although they served me pretty well for years it is definitely time to upgrade my gear. After lurking for some time SBAF looked to me to be the place where the quality of the discussion is (on average) quite a bit higher than on other sites which makes it very helpful to gather information and learn about gear before I make any purchase.

    Thanks

Hello everyone, lots of names and faces I recognize here. I post under the same name and avatar at HF and HC. I felt a little like I was crossing picket lines signing up here, but then I remembered this is the internet and we're talking about consumer electronics, plus it's what Tyll would have wanted.

I'm happy to participate in the robust discussion here, and forever in the community's debt for fostering the development of mods which define my darling HD800.

Your attitude towards the dislikes seems appropriate. Spaces and caps would help others read your posts, btw.

    Greetings from the Queen City,
I just created an account after being warned on HF for posting a link to some useful information on this forum.
It's absurd that HF feels the need to censor their forums, to me that is more than enough reason to GTFO of there.
(if the knuckle dragging esoteric pseudoscientific circle jerk in almost every thread wasn't enough)

I've been interested in all things mechanical and electrical from a very young age, i'm always trying to understand how things work and I feel like I have a decent understanding of a variety of fields. I've had an interest in "hifi" and audio for about 13 years now and have built, modded, repaired and recapped quite a few amps, speakers, pedals and turntables etc. I've run a few live sound gigs in small bar venues, and a pretty large one recently at Kings Island NYE (11 piece band). I've played around in a couple recording studios and done my own amature recordings of friends and once the UC marching band even (sounded like ass tbh).

I appreciate what these forums and their members have contributed to the audio community and I hope to learn much more. It seems like a more down to earth place than that other forum.

Howdy neighbour. The Hague 5 minutes from where I live. I think another Dutchie here lives in or near Delft.
