    Hi all,

Ex-Anonymous lurker here - have been around head-fi and a few other forums for years under different names.

I enjoy reading balanced opinions on headphones/sources and where applicable add to the discussion.

Started out years ago with an allesandro ms1; when Schiit was first on the scene but sold my setup due to kids coming along; im slowly getting my collection back and have come to the realization that one headphone/source/amp wont suit every situation.

Looking forward to been part of the community

    Hello everyone!

I know a few people around here use my PCB's ! :) so I thought I'd join. I like that the forum isn't an objectionist haven. And maybe I'm just a nut who likes forums. Anyways we (Folsom) make DIY PCB's for different things, and maybe make other things available later.

Personally I only currently listen to vinyl. Some day we'll make a DAC and maybe I'll use it... maybe

    Hi everyone,

I have committed the crime of posting before I introduce myself, so here I am seeking forgiveness from the forum lords :)

my name is Saleh, based in Dubai, UAE, been interested in hi end sound for all my life (without realizing it much!!) but only few years back I have started building a true high-end stereo.

currently I have cube audio nenuphar single driver speakers (simply awesome, Cube 12 inch subwoofers are on the way), recently got a line magnetic 845 premium tube SET amplifier (replacing a diablo gryphon 300), just sold my denafrips terminator dac and awaiting on a rockna wavedream signature XLR to replace it. mean while surviving on a headamp/pre dac from questyle, CMA600i. I stream mainly, from an aurender N10 server. I also have an uptone etherregen switch, and I use an egderouter x SFP (no wifi, biggg difference). these are crucial for a streaming based system like mine.
all cabling is Audioquest, mostly either PSS or PSC+.
for power I'm using two IFI power stations, and some IFI ipower bricks and DC/AC filters.

I like the seriousness of this forum, I will try not to post any "noise" but rather useful inputs.

    peace, out for now!

James, I'm a biomedical engineer intern at the time, I love sound and sound gear, just too poor to enjoy the finest.
Currently got rme adi-2 dac and u18t which was gifted to me by my privileged uncle as he got out of hobby.
That's about all of me.. Rest has been school school school and no social life.
I chose the screen name as I saw it on some other forum and laughed at it! Glad it wasn't taken here ahah

    Hi All,
Khanabadhosh from Mumbai, India. Putting together my first half-decent audio kit as I almost hit my half-century mark age-wise. Intend to lurk and learn.

In case you were wondering, Khanabadhosh means Wanderer.

What's up y'all, joined to talk about some good audio. Pro audio background mostly, so I don't know much about hi-fi audiophile stuff, except for stereotypes of 5000$ cable buying 75-year olds who can't hear anything over 6khz :')

Don't know if this is my type of forum yet, as I've only browsed three of four threads, but looking forward! Seems like a good place for info and opinion, and not so much of a place where people sell stuff to others under the guise of honest reviews.

Been around on head-fi for a while, and I guess this is somewhat of a fork from there?

Hello, I'm Brian Copeland from Roswell, Georgia. I'm a professional photographer and enjoy listening to music while traveling to gigs and while editing photos. I bought my 10yo daughter a turntable and some records for Christmas and ended up re-catching the bug myself after many years of not owning any decent equipment. I now have a pretty decent system, but being the gear addict that I am I know that I'll be upgrading and playing around and have been enjoying the threads here.

Hi - Ex lurker finally joined in. Long time Audio enthusiast going back decades to the days of transistor radios and recording via a portable mini Philips R2R recorder. Spent far too much money ever since with every ingredient in the Audio (& Video) chain. Finally mixed my interest/pleasure with business 7 years ago and now represent several small Audio Manufacturers, importing products to Australasia. In the Audio sector a very, very small-fry operator.

Went completely Digital several years ago and one of many who still consider CD medium relevant today. It might be called lossless Audio now but there's still a heap of information on the Silver Disc that only now is being revealed by the latest Dacs. In spite of 21st Century progress, current Digital Audio imo - for the dedicated, is actually more complicated/involved than a top grade Vinyl System before the advent of CD. There are simple solutions of course for non-enthusiasts.

So greetings from the East Coast of the North Island NZ. In Pic native Tui feeding on nectar from Kowhai flowers.

    Cheers Ian

    Hi all,

I am Carles from Barcelona, my background is computer science oriented to healthcare.
I have been following this community for a few months, learning from different opinions and having fun thanks to this community.
I am interested in audio equipment and different genres of music, although I have to admit that I tend to change my equipment too often... not sure if we could describe it as "audio gear nervosa" :)
    Thanks,

    Carles

    Hello.
My name is Fred and I live in Sweden. Right now, I'm using Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 and an ancient Asus Xonar Essence One DAC/headphone amp connected to my desktop computer. I mainly listen to different types of metal, hard rock and, depending on my mood, electronica. I like my bass when listening to Leftfield's Leftism album and I like clarity and detail when listening to Metallica's 80's albums.

I'm here mainly to educate myself and learn things. And considering my Sennheisers are just about 5 years old (pads replaced twice), I'm itching a bit for a headphone upgrade. And maybe a DAC/amp upgrade. That said, I have no clue whatsoever what my potential upgrade path might be... Yet.

    Hey guys,
Long time lurker which has resulted in many happy purchase decisions. Use SS, hybrid and tube amps in rotation depending on headphone of choice. Sennheiser HD650 are my mostly used cans and match well with ZDT Jr amp and Airist R2R DAC.
Enjoy most genres but prefer Rock and Classical Soundtracks.

Vintage AKG K500/501 and powerful amplifier (with or without tubes) or go HD600/650 and feed it power.

If you are lucky a HD250 II Linear is still to be found. That headphone puts a lot of later headphones to shame, especially when you use Metal for test tracks.
