NFL Postseason 2017

Just a silly football game, but man...the last few months have got to be like the second installment in a trilogy where the good guys just can't win.

(First-world (for now) problems, I know)

 

Fail, terrible.

 

SHAME ON ME!

Turned off the game after it was 28 to 3 in the 3rd quarter. Didn't want to see a blowout.

Just for the hell of it, I turned it back on to see the Patriots driving to tie the game & sending it to overtime.

 

Really bummed. I love seeing parity and new faces on top.

But alas...at least it wasn't the Squealers. I've got that, at least.

 

Flags at half mast tomorrow. Spread the word.

The whole game, people around me were acting like the Falcons had it in the bag. Even when the score was 28 to 3 I had a feeling they were going to come back and tie it up. When Atlanta blew that drive at the end, I knew it was over. The Patriots were put on this earth to crush the souls of those who oppose them. I've expended too much energy being pissed about their dynasty and have moved on to the acceptance stage. I think the frustrating thing is that the loser is always good enough to make it interesting, sometimes good enough to trick you into thinking that the Patriots won't pull it off but then reality comes back to bitch slap you. I'm just thankful for Eli Manning. If it wasn't for him, those bastards would have two more.

 

Cubs won, Clemson beat Alabama ... not sure what you mean.

 

I don't follow either of those sports. I find baseball incredibly boring, but I was glad the cubs won. I was thinking of the time period starting right after that. And of course villain is a matter of perspective (to some degree). Oh, and I was also counting death as a villain. Two significant deaths around me in the span of roughly a month. So, personal stuff no one wants to hear me cry and moan about.

 

Which is the bigger choke job? Warriors up 3-1 in the finals or the Falcons up 25 points in the third quarter?

 

The Buffalo Bills lost 4 straight Super Bowls. That will always be the biggest choke job in sports history. But the Falcons choke is pretty awful.
