You might want to try something higher up: https://www.amazon.com/Furman-Elite-15-PF-13-Outlet-Filtering/dp/B000WV5K4S

I am recommending this to you because the furman did make a noticeable improvement to my system's overall audio and visual quality. i.e. Colors are more vibrant, more contrasty and soundstage background darkness got more darker. I can't put a definite % into these improvement, as your mileage will vary more with this type of power conditioner as it really depends on how noisy your home power is. But I can say is that I have zero buyer's remorse with this for sure.

The black cylinder on the right side of chasis act as extra power reserve capacitor(3 Amps of continuous current reserve ,over 45 amps peak charge) for your connected power amplifier(helps with improving bass slam/dynamics/transients in my experience):

Definitely going off-topic here, but why not just get a perfect sine UPS for under $200? They you also get a UPS.

Also, unless you have shitty power coming in, and shitty power management in the equipment you are plugging in, spending $630 for a power filter is quite possibly placebo/voodoo.

I have a lower model version of that Furman power conditioner, and it actually helped my system out quite a bit. I've got crappy noisy power; lots of hash that reads like a wobbly DC offset that reaches a couple volts at times. There is audible grunge in my system, both from the transducers and from the transformers themselves. My cheap APC surge bar also has an "overload" light that blinks like mad whenever the lights (all halogen and led) are turned on. Shoving the Furman into there chopped most (not all) of that out. I tried a Tripp-Lite and ART conditioner that did not do anything.

I'm not saying the Furman stuff is magical, nor will it work in all cases, but it worked for me with my specific issues with noise.

I think we should take the discussion of power line stuff off to the appropriate thread. So as not to pollute this thread.

Emotiva CMX-2 DC filter/power line corrector -> the Furman 6 plug outlet strip with just basic RFI/EMI filtering and surge protection helped out my system a lot. Yeah I am rolling power strips and filters. Sometime old home lines are so bad that you need voltage regulators meant for racks that start at 400ish for the cheapest Furman to over 2k.

Lyr 2 was the only Schiit amp I thought was actually bad. It didn't do anything cool like Valhalla 2, didn't have a good tone. Lyr 2 is an amp made for cheap people in play-NAHWR (thanks @Bagged Milk for making the Minnesota/Fargo pronunciation the official one) hell who want tubes; not people who want a good cheap amp. Get Magni 2 if you're poor, Vali 2 if you're a poor warmfag, Jotun if you have a job, or Asgard 2 if you're a Class A, no overall feedback supremacist.

Why does that look like Forest Whitaker and Billy Joel morphed into one during a transporter accident?

I would appreciate it autism references could be left out of the humor/conversation. I have a child with autism and I just don't appreciate it to be quite honest. Some things shouldn't be joked about. Not trying to be a dick, just saying.

Just for perspective. I have a 20 year old with severe autism. She functions on a five year old level. She speaks in broken sentences and her life is ruled by bizarre obsessions with things. For the past year it's been silly putty. It started as a relaxing activity. Then she started to obsessive over the color. So she would use things she could find in the house to change to a preferred color. Such as toothpaste, fingernail polish, dirt from the yard, grass anything is a possibility. You can't imagine the mess it makes in the house.

So instead of going to college, dating, driving etc...this is what she does every day when she returns home from her day treatment program. Such is life. I'm not complaining. But it's truly a shame that there is no opportunity for individuals with autism to lead any sort of normal life. So if I sound somewhat sensitive about it, that's because I am.

Which headphone do you think shows the most empathy with this amp?

    (I think it's spelled euphony)

Shit guys. Stop talking about irrelevant shit. I'm very sorry about Ice-man's situation but even he has gotten back on topic. @OJneg feel free to delete anything irrelevant.

You disliking a post where someone is describing their anguish over their child's illness trumps any discussion about audio equipment. Done with you.

@Ice-man I want to approach your concern in good faith and assume you are not simply trying to exert yourself out of some internalized desire to language police.

Are you similarly concerned when people use the term retard to describe idiotic behavior? What about "gay" to describe stuff that is lame, boring, or otherwise uncool?

To be clear, I don't condone or appreciate jokes intended to demean or disenfranchise anyone for a disability or any difference. I do, however, object to attempts to censor people because of something one person finds offensive. The "that's offensive" battle cry is meaningless in a free society.

Person to person, I'm sympathetic to Ice-man's situation. In this thread, I object to his attempt to guilt people for jokes that were not intentionally disparaging.

    The end.

It's pretty clear @cizx is not a dick, and I agree as a person with what he says. Hell, I agree with most everything he said. But I also understand @Ice-man.

However, "Border Nigger", "Chilli-Shitter", "Coke-Camel" , "Juan Valdez", "Mojo", and "Burrito", are strictly forbidden!.... wait.
