The struggle is real. I thought I had reasonably good self control until I got into this hobby.

Does the orange power indicator look as good IRL as it does in this photo?

Before I bought the amp, I honestly had thought the orange LED looked lame and wished I could have it in blue or white. Now that I'm seeing it in person, I can say that photos don't do it justice and it definitely looks better IRL.

As a Dark Souls fan, it sorta reminds me of this:

Majorly downsized the headphone rig in preparation for buying a nice 2 channel amp in April.

Now we have Fulla 2 fixed output and the Vinyl rig going to SYS, then out to the little SMSL SA-50 amp. Without the Jotunheim in the signal path between the SYS and the speaker amp the vinyl rig sounds better than ever. Fulla 2 doesn't drive the HD650's to their fullest potential but it sounds good enough for now. I am going to be focusing more on 2 channel in the future.

Cleaned up my setup, and set up these unique Aura "Line Source" speakers, with very unique tweeters. Got them at goodwill.

^Liked for having the same Keyboard as me.

Edit: Actually it's different, but whatever, nice setup.

It's the Corsair K70 RGB mk2 or something like that. My original K70 died, so I got another.

I need to wire manage the hell out of that setup. Too busy / lazy.

I also have k70 rgb, but mine is Rapidfire. Not sure how I feel about the Cherry MX Speed switches. After several years I'm still not really sold on them over regular cherry switches.

As far as cable management goes, grab some Ikea Signums. They make it so damn easy. If you don't have an obvious way to mount them I can help with ideas for that. Before my wood desk I had a glass desk with signums mounted underneath.

I'm in the same boat. Mine has these speed switches, and I really prefer MX Blue switches. I'm getting used to it though.

Same here I think, the lights on my original K70 died and I replaced it with a K70 RGB, though maybe a mk1 instead mk2 as it looks like the some of the buttons at the top are layed out a little differently.

I posted some of this in a Freya thread, but here is the rest of the story that was not germane to that discussion. It starts with a homemade table that looks like it was built by an 11 year old Mennonite woodworking apprentice. Other than being crudely constructed, I think it is well designed. The gear shelves are cut from 1" granite. It has 19" inside width which not coincidentally works to mount rack components to the legs like this PD module.

Overview shows the GumbFreya pair on the top granite shelf. The iPad is for music control duty using either Auralic Lightning DS or most recently Roon. On the first lower shelf, there is an Auralic Mini powered by an Auralic LPS (coax connected to the DAC and WiFi connected to my network) and a balanced headphone jack wired to the Marantz MM7025 amplifier. The Marantz "speaker amp" is my only amplifier because my only phones are HFM HE-6, and we all know they love speaker amps. I went through a few amps before I landed on this one, which I am very satisfied with. Hint: not the NuPrime STA-9! On the next granite shelf is an Akustyk dual mono passive preamplifier by Khozmo of Poland. I ordered it balanced, with just dual stepped attenuators and no input selection and use it as a glorified balance control.

When I find something I like, I try to stick with it. My HE-6 crapped the left driver, so I sent it back to HFM for exchange. They don't have drivers to repair them anymore. When it came back I decided to put back a spare.

The Akustyk up close. It seems like a small thing to be able to adjust balance. Why did this capability leave from quality gear? I have some hearing loss in my left ear, and balanced for me is different than balanced for someone else. I have also found that occasionally I have to tweak it a bit to get the soundstage like I want it. I wouldn't be without it now. It is also used as a safety to protect the HE-6's from accidental overpowering from the amp. I turn the main volume pot up to about 80% and then adjust the Akustyk to set the max listening level that I expect to use. This protects from a small child or unlearned adult twisting the volume all the way up and blowing the drivers without resorting to attenuation in the speaker out lines. I previously used inline balanced attenuators. These are just inline balanced ADJUSTABLE attenuators. I have a single ended version of this if anyone is interested. It became surplus when I sold the Cavalli LG and went to the current full balanced topography. Info on Khozmo here...

I tried not to go Full Retard mode on providing power to the rig. I don't have my own power pole, but I did run a 6 AWG line from my panel, through the attic, to a sub-panel above the room. From there, I split-wired two duplex receptacles for four independent 20A circuits. The circuit for the headphone rig is filtered by one of these, and then on to a 1500VA UPS...

The network provides access to about 8000 FLAC tracks on a Synology RS815+. There are two of them (one hidden) in a high availability cluster.

The rack is about to get a shelf below the HP switch to house the NUC7i7BNH that I bought to run ROCK as a Roon core. I just started with Roon running it on my Macbook Pro, and I am a convert after only one evening with it. It will be nice to say g'bye to Lightning DS and to be able to provide better content to my wife's Sonos boxes.

Had to get a stand, redirect the vents of my AC, and set up a fan to handle the unbelievable class A heat the F5 produces. I only turn the fan on when the AC hasn't ran for some time since it adds to the overall ambient noise which is already higher than I'd like due to the 5 open air fans on my PC.

I use the 5LE for vocal centric music like Billy Joel, and the Franken-He6 for pretty much everything else, the headband works as a surprisingly effective psuedo lohb strap :). IDK how to upload directly I linked the image and it just comes up as a broken link

So it's 3:30am, got home after a ~2hr Amtrak delay and couldn't sleep, so thank God this bad boy arrived today!

The Vulcan was so easy to set up, and it feels really sturdy.

Feels awesome to have the setup off my desk..! SQ has also improved, since the setup is no longer next to my gaming PC, keyboard, etc.

My very moddest setup. Still deciding if I’m going to go with just adding an Eitr or upgrade to a Bumby or Gungnir Multibit. Not in a huge hurry I mainly listen to vinyl.
