Anyone have a Schiit Wyrd available for the loaner program? I would like to see if it makes a difference with my USB connection.

What would be more helpful would be a Wyrd AND Regen loaner, so that people could also compare the two.

    (BTW, I don't understand your sig... )

It simply means that if Art (what one considers Art) has no meaning for you, that it is useless. For example, say you see a painting with a bunch of scribble on it, or it looks like someone just randomly threw paint on it - to some it may be a work of art, to others it may just look like graffiti. Music-wise, if a certain piece of music (which I consider music art) doesn't touch you in some way, what function does it have? It's still there, but if it has no meaning to you, it is basically function-less vandalism. That's what is mean by that. It was originally quoted by Type-o-Negative on the album "October Rust".

"That's the truth, that wasn't a joke. Our art is completely function-less. There is no use for it except for listening pleasure or killing time. The rest of the album is a joke!"

"Any art that changes political or social structure, can help people in some way, psychologically, or can bring enlightenment . . . you won't find anything like that on our album. The creative process for this album was more to create something that was beautiful to listen to and erotic and soulful to listen to rather than to get out our frustrations. No great important purpose that was necessary to life."

Thats kind of you @phillipmorgan, but we're going to tread carefully here. Let me confer with @velvetx and we'll get back to all of you. We're inclined to caution anyone that wants to loan out gear. There is significant risk. Gear may go missing or get damaged, and as a gear owner you have to be okay knowing that. Think about it, and we'll come back with an update as well.

@philipmorgan - I agree with @sphinxvc there is always risk when loaning out gear unless it is someone you know and trust or whom you have loaned to before. I only know myself and know that I am trustworthy with loaners as I have had many friends and members here loan me gear and I have done the same for them, but it was always people I knew, if you decide to loan out your Wyrd, like I said I agree with sphinxvc - think about it and if you and the gear masters decide it is ok, then maybe they can make a list for you like they do with the other loaners - if so, I would like to be on the list. I always mail UPS Priority 2-day mail and I always insure for the full amount of the item being loaned - that is something you should have as a requirement should you decide to loan out your Wyrd, at least the insurance coverage -up to you how they ship, I just like Priority 2-day mail, especially for smaller items like the Wyrd because it is quick, has tracking, and flat-rate 2-day Priority mail usually has the best price.

Given that this isn't too expensive, let's go ahead with it.

@philipmorgan, if you still want to do it - PM myself and Velvetx with # of days you'd like to have it out, items included, etc. We'll put together a list from there. Thanks again for offering.

We'll be starting this one on the East coast.

You can take my name off of the list - as I have a friend who PM'd me offering to loan me theirs. Thank you Gear Masters for setting this up. I am thinking about loaning out my Modded HD650's (purrin's mod) for those interested - if so, I will let the gear master's know. If the Gear Masters do not want to deal with it should I decide to add it to the loaner program, I'll keep track of it myself as I know the Gear Masters Have a lot to keep track of.

Modded HD-650 I am excited about it but haven't had time to compare. Personally I love my stock ones but really need a more private listen to with the modded ones.

I also believe @Luckbad wanted to try the modded pair as well I read it in one of his posts. Since you are interested as well @velvetx I may just go ahead and add it to the loaner program. If so, I will let the Gear Master's know and they can decide if they want to help me keep track of it, or if you guys are too busy, I will keep track of it. But since I just posted the idea of loaning out my Purrin Modded HD650's I have already had 2 people interested -and I like to contribute to the community as I love SBAF. Let me know if the Gear Master's want to help me organize this - if not, I will organize it myself since I know you guys have a lot to keep track of.

@velvetx thank you very much my friend. Yes, I think I will go ahead and loan out my modded HD650's. I think I will wait until the first of December before starting to let some of the other loaner programs start to finish up, and I have my money already set aside for shipping and insurance costs for the Gungnir Multibit and Wyrd - so early December would be best for me since I will be paying to ship the HD650's to the first person on the list.

I have a spare Wyrd for Asian pyrates that I'm cool with loaning out, though I have no idea if there is any interest in such a thing. I know @firev1 ran something similar a while back.

I did but not many took me up on the offer ^^; then, I could mod one then throw two back into the wild sometime though.

@The Alchemist HD650 (modded or stock) is a gap in my headphone experience, so I would be interested in any loaner of those, thanks.

@Original Ken sure no problem, will probably start loaner in early December - @velvetx was first to ask for them, so you would be second in-line. SO far I only have you two interested, so the loaner time would be longer than normal unless a lot more people sign up. @velvetx said he would set it up when I am ready to start the program.

I can add my Regen to the mix. Let me know how you'd like me to get it out to you.

I have a Wyrd in my system, so I don't need a loaner BUT it would probably help the community most to have both the Wyrd and Regen in the same box, so people can compare. But that is up to the Gear Masters, there may be other factors.
Either way, I would be interested in any loaner that has a Regen.
And thanks to @drfindley for offering, that is generous of you.
