@Elnrik thanks for the photos! Were the Klipsch models all the same but different colours?

WM1A of theirs. Unbalanced output. The seal was pretty meh, I had to push to hold them in for a seal.

I also had a hard time with seal on the Andromeda. Comply foam tips worked best for me but even then a smile could break the seal. It's a shame since I thought they beat all the other IEMs I heard except maybe the Tia Forte (lol price).

I guess I'm confused why you would want to knock down the bass on these. Marv made it sound like the bass was one of the main highlights of these headphones. Is it dramatically more bassy than the Atticus or Eikon?

Personal preference. Some might be bothered by these, Atticus, or Eikon levels of bass. Most would not, me thinks.

Nice to have the option though.

Which finish do you think looked best in person? I find myself increasingly drawn to the Walnut (medium brown one).

    The Walnut. Then ebony.

The light color oak is fine, but the light color leather bits that go with it just doesn't do it for me.

Someone pointed me to this photo posted on the HF impressions thread. Can't see this poster doing much to welcome female audio enthusiasts who might actually come to events like these. Curious if anyone saw any women who weren't SOs or daughters.

There's also the photo of the "cute Asian chick" on the RMAF homepage. And I just noticed she's wearing her headphones backwards.

The backwards headphone thing is like some sort of tradition at this point lmao.

Btw, anyone get a look at the emerald green TH900? I find those and the new Focal Clears far sexier than any promo girls.

Yeah, lots more bass than the ZMF stuff. It's a highlight if you want a bassy sound, as is true of the Foster/Denon brethren.

Lol. It might not be quite so glaring too if you couldn't see the "R" on the headphones on the left side.

Who's doing this marketing? The sign at the entrance is just bad.

Marv did concede when he praised the bass on these that he was a closet basshead. So...full disclosure was there.

Klipsch said they were going to cook up some velour pads as well so that will probably give a more neutral tuning if that's what people are after.

Like Marv, I'm a closet bass head so I don't think the bass will bother me in the least.

Nothing wrong with enjoying extra bass. I enjoy it sometimes too. Just saying, if you want a really good take on that Fostex biocellulose sound, the Klipsch seems great. But if you want something more neutral, you may want to look elsewhere or consider the under-pad venting mod to tweak the sound. No reason to be ashamed if you want that bass!
