I stand corrected. Thanks. Never have checked Sennheiser's MSRP on the 650. I've had mine a long long time. So the question is will Amazon have the HD660S at $315? Hope so.

But shit. Do I really need another headphone?

by that yardstick, I have saved $2,000 (not ordering 660S+Aeon Open+ HP-3) .

There should really be a golden version on that poll, with a schlong hidden under the earpads. (Not an actual schlong, just, you know, a printed one).

 

MD should do an IEM with the Golden Schlong as the imprint. The box says "For great sound, your have to stick it...in your....ear"!

AHH very nice. Been looking for the next direction at a reasonable price. Since the headband, frame and connections appear to carryover from the 650 I'm betting the same mods will also potentially carryover. These will be my Xmas present to myself. Have to finish out the year with EVS' latest mods to the Oppo Sonica. I would love to compare it, even in current modded form to any Dac under 5k$! It is way beyond stock performance right now! The new Ifi Galvanic 3.0 also makes quite an improvement. Really excited about the 660...feel like I have pushed the 650 about as far as it will Go. But the EVS Oppo with a galvanic and W4S recovery in front push the frequency extremes a lot further than you might believe even highly modded 650's capable of. Life is good!

Ooh, "hi-res audio"! That's got to be better than the low-res HD 650.
