I'm pondering my next purchase of headphones.

I have a pair of Audeze LCD-2 Classic. However, I really like my HiFiman HE400i which were my first planar headphones.
Sometimes I prefer listening to music on my HE400i because they are much lighter.

I also really like the LCD-2C but I wonder if the Anandas would be an upgrade or just a sidegrade. I know, I probably should by the Aryas but I can't really afford them and I have my eyes on a used pair of Anandas for about 600 USD.

Are the Anandas at all similar to the HE400i? I'm hoping that they are similar but better in every way. If so, then I might just buy them. What do you think?

I think this is more like a Reddit post than a SBAF post. Try /r/headphoneadvice

    My 2 cent.

    1. Never ever start a new thread if you don't know how this forum runs.
    2. Purchase questions are never regarded as a worthy independent thread topic.

It's not that at all, just the wrong way/place to ask this particular type of question.
Lot of opinionated knowledge to gain and share around here.

First post and I get to dislikes for shitpostingand people telling my I should post on reddit instead etc. Kind of rude.

But maybe I'm just too sensitive. And opinionated? Wasn't this supposed to be an objectivist forum?

No. This is the reasonable forum where objectivism meets subjectivism.

There's a ton of experience and knowledge here and nuance rules the day (except for truly shit products).

If you're genuinely interested in getting off the FOTM merry-go-round and care about objective things *that matter*, don't get discouraged and stick around. But first spend a lot of time reading and getting a feel for the place. This is not the average forum where 90% of posts are useless drivel that belongs on FB. It's also mostly not moderated and people say all kinds of shit so you'll have to thicken your skin.

Nope, the forum's philosophy is more balanced in the sense that measurements are understood to be useful but not wholly representative of the experiential aspect of sound reproduction.

The reception may have been a bit harsh due to recent stress from someone vandalising the forum, this normally just gets received with a terse-ish direction to the All-Purpose Advice Thread and not much else.
