    I couldn't stop coughing from the parking garage into the building. We'll see how long the internal air recirculation / filtering system keeps up before I decide to work from home today. Evidently there is another fire just 10 miles to the north with the wind blowing SSW. The big fire is farther away NW in Ventura.

    One of my co-workers thought he would be funny and asked if I had left the smoker on. I gave him the death stare. He's one of those dudes with those little annoyances that gets to you over the years.

    5 has been reopened, but the Rye Fire has jumped the freeways and is burning towards Simi Valley. So far, our house is OK, but if the wind shifts, we could be evacuated. The factory and the Schiitr are fine.

    Full disclosure: used to it. The fires burned to within 30 feet of our house in 2003 and within about 200 feet in 2016.

    The 210 is completely shut down

    The fire in Burbank was within feet of my aunt's place just three months ago. Lucky them, there was no wind. It's headed their way again but this time it's a different story
