Sold: ESX909 - Retuned and ready to rock

Putting up my dynamically impressive ESX909.

If you have not heard of the mod, it is a custom mod done by Ev_Schaaf of ETA headphones. The mod takes a standard Fostex TH909 and smooths out the FR, boosts the bass resolution and extends its reach. These headphones are so very engaging and have some of the most impact I have ever heard in a headphone.

Selling to purge some of my gear. I have the ESX900 that has been my favorite for a long time now and I should probably stop trying to best it with something else. Open or closed. The Focal Clear is a better fit with my setup as it is a smoother than the ESX909.

The cup frame and gimbals have some scratches and paint removed (see pictures). The gimbals are fairly easy to replace, just never felt the need to do so.

The setup comes with two sets of pads, stock cable, and travel case.
The sale does not include the original box.

Anyone who prioritizes slam in the bass, snap in the upper mids, or generally very extended bandwidth will love these. They are tonally smooth, but they take no prisoners in terms of laying the mix bare and naked. Full spectrum ballistics grade dynamics and quite resolving. A warmer chain is suggested. They are quite efficient and dongle/DAP friendly.

For the next owner, I can offer retunes for the ESX909 for $100 including return USA48 shipping. However, I was quite happy with how this one turned out and don't think this will be needed. GLWS!
