Selling this modified OG Bifrost Multibit as I was able to find a used Bifrost 2. It has been modified with OPA 1656 opamps installed in the DAC I/V and Servo sections. Unfortunately I'm forced to use USB where this DAC will live so a used Bifrost 2 made more sense cost-wise.

I purchased this unit from a friend last week and am selling here at a discount. I paid around 320 with shipping, and am selling for $275 total. I will cover shipping and fees in the US.

This sounds very, very good and I would be keeping it if I didn't need USB. Compared to my memory of my previous OG Bifrost Multibit (older board) this is leagues ahead and would make a killer combo with a Piety / Vali 2 or even a SW51.

I will be able to ship this on Friday, but if you need it sooner I can probably make it work.

More info from previous owner @Inoculator:
For sale is an excellent mechanical condition Bifrost OG with OPA 1656 opamps installed in the DAC I/V and Servo sections. These are a big upgrade for the Bifrost MB as the original opamps were poorly rated. Newer main board revision on this Bifrost, despite lack of USB. The chassis itself has a few scuffs and scratches, hence the good condition rating.

GLWS, and great price, as per usual!

One thing I wanted to ask, and your FS thread might not be the best place for it, but if you have the experience with all 3, it may help someone who's on the fence about buying—I've read that the modded Bifrost 1, esp those with a B serial number, gets closer to the Gungnir than the Bifrost 2, is this true? Have you been able to put ears on all three?

Great price for a great DAC! The mods really take them up another level or three. GLWS!

Whooooooole lotta DAC for the money here, folks. Put this in your second system and call it a day, or if you're not trying to spend thousands just grab this and be done with it.

The Bifrost has always been the black sheep of the Schiit line up in my eyes and I told myself I'd never buy one again, but for that price I can finally put my Assemblage DAC-1 to rest.
