SOLD: Ortofon Vigor Moving Coil Cartridge (High Output)

I've decided to gift this to someone who is buying their first turntable.

I am slowly going to let go of some good gear over time. Basically want to get guys here setup with nice items that sound good while starting to reduce the TONS OF AUDIO items I own. I bought a lot of stuff and barely sold anything (never wanted to or needed to). I am going to change that so that people can actually use these items and enjoy them. It is in line with the new direction I have in my mind and moving towards concepts of minimalism. I am too far into the other direction...so need to balance that out. Gotta start somewhere!

I will typically give SBAF members first dibs before moving items out to the rest of the audio world. I don't post crap items and don't want junk out there on my behalf. Won't be in line with the karma I plan to earn nor the good vibes I want to spread.
I've been meaning to consolidate things because I feel I have too much now. Again, it's just where I am at mentally.

Up for sale is an Ortofon Vigor cartridge that was sold exclusively to the German market.
It is a High Output Moving Coil cartridge. You will get the benefits of a MC cartridge and be able to use it with any MM phono stage.

- Healthy 3.3mV output (Plug it into the 47k MM input).
- Fine Line Stylus (This is a fantastic stylus profile. More detail, resolution, and excellent suppression of surface noise)
- Frequency range: 20-20.000Hz +4/-1dB
- Tracking Force: 1.8g ~ 2.4g. (I recommend 2.2g)
- Channel Separation: >25db. (This is very very good!)

This one will sound better than any of the Ortofon 2M Series or Quintet Series cartridges. Sound is full bodied and extremely resolving. This is what analog is all about!

This is a very low hour cartridge, I don't know the exact hours on it. It plays perfectly.

Comes with original box and paperwork.

There is a small "flaw" but it really isn't a flaw at all. Cartridges are hand made mostly. The cantilever on this cartridge is very very slightly towards the right when viewed from behind. This makes NO DIFFERENCE at all. When a cartridge is aligned, it is the stylus itself that needs to be aligned. Not the cartridge body. So always align to the stylus/cantilever. If you are local to Orange County, bring by your table/arm and I will personally setup the cartridge for you meticulously, if you like.
