I purchased this a couple months ago direct from Parks Audio. I hate to sell it as Shannon Parks of Parks Audio is seriously one of the best, most helpful people I have interacted with in audio. I was dealing with some noise in my system (turned out to not be the Puffin), and he has seriously exchanged dozens of emails with me helping to troubleshoot my system. I will probably own this again someday (or whatever else Parks Audio makes in the future), but for now I decided I wanted to try out a tube phono on my particular setup.

Shannon Parks of Parks Audio did this mod himself. Rather than just modding the port with bare wires, he used a connector PCB for the optical port wiring harness. This was the first build he implemented that improvement in. It was his idea to go with the optical rather than coax digital port for maximum noise reduction (turns out it wasn't electric noise from the puffin anyway, but wanted to rule it out).

This device is super fun with the digital out. It is already great just using the built in DAC in the unit, but being able to digital out to your preferred DAC is great. In my system, I really like my Gungnir Multibit synergy, so it was great being able to feed my vinyl through that. If you have a DAC you love and are not afraid of digital processing of your analog signal, this device is perfect for dialing in your vinyl setup. Has lots of DSP adjustments to get your sound just right, and he is constantly improving the firmware with new feature (he has a magic pops removal filter coming, as well as a vinyl grading system, check out his facebook page if you are interested in everything he is cooking up)

I purchased this $550+shipping direct from Parks a couple months ago, it has been used for less than 50 hours total on/run time. I am asking $475, I pay shipping and paypal fees. In addition to the unit itself, power supply, original box/instructions, I will also include a nice glass optical cable (this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001D1A8KM/).
