Is this a US/EU or Japan issued ZX2?

IIRC the US and EU versions have a volume limiter embedded in the firmware for safety reasons. The Japanese version does not.

Oh I thought it was only the EU version which had the volume limiter and the US and Japanese versions did not.

It is a US version. It's gets plenty loud with all my iems, so I'm unaware of any volume cap. There is a AVLS setting to manually set a volume limit but you can toggle it on and off.

I couldn't find the output impedance with a quick search. Any issues with your iems?

I believe the ZX2 is 2 ohms OI.

Andromeda is reactive to any any OI. It's bass becomes more neutral with a little OI. Some here prefer it with 2 ohms. Otherwise the rest of my iems were fine.

I measured about 1.5 ohms output Z with crude gear and then 1.75 ohms with less crude gear.

ZX2 is not the Holy Grail for Andromeda and I can confidently say that the OI-Andro reaction is highly dependent on personal taste. ZX2 only offers what Merv considers best. People need to know their shit first before reading Merv's Holy Cow procaliment.
