Sold: SW51+

Hi folks,


I impulse-bought a SW51+ recently, and as I feared it's not quite the right time for me to own this. I've put about 1-2 hours on it and loved what I heard and wish I could spend more time with it.

This is the cat faceplate edition and comes with an assortment of 10+ tube pairs. I've only tried 2 pairs of the GE tubes, one pair of which appeared to have a somewhat microphonic/buzzy right channel which I will demarcate accordingly.

I'm pretty OCD with my gear and this amp is pretty much in 7.5-8/10 condition, with the only cosmetic faults I could perceive being a small nick or two on the outside edge of the bottom corner nearest the power LED on the front fascia (AFAICT, Zampotech USA may sell spare faceplates for $20 + tax + shipping when available).

While a long shot, I'd prefer to sell locally in the Bay Area due to logistic simplicity (plus my general bad luck shipping tubes, you have been warned) but will also consider posting it out.

Looking to net $375, friends and contributors only per my promise to the great member I purchased it from.

You know a seller is transparent and trustworthy when only a small nick or two constitute a '7.5-8/10' !

 

I payed the higher current price for this amp and I absolutely got my money's worth. This is a steal at this price. Not liking "tubey" sound myself, this is a wonderful amp for those looking to transition from solid state to a pure tube amp. Stock tubes are all I use and they sound great.

 

Folks with Senns and the money - this is a no-brainer.
