Dual BA drivers: one full range, one super tweeter.
Clear red shells look neat I guess!
    The sound is n-i-c-e .
Neutral leaning with slight bass and treble emphasis to give it some energy.
Detailed but not overly dry or analytical sounding.
    Doesn't give me a headache.

My new favorite sub $300 earphones.
    An all-round winner.

Awesome. I know Mr T likes these too. Supposedly a real improvement over the IM02, which was already a solid iem. I definitely want to try this one out as the prices come down a little.

my only wish is for AT to settle on a connector standard and not reinvent the wheel with each generation.

for what it offers i think that (provided that you like its fit or sonic profile) it is competitive with models from boutique manufacturers that are in the LS 400 price range. i liked it better than my f111 or orion.

What tips are you using and what are you driving them with? The stock tips seem fine, but I can't get a great seal with them. Been trying spiral dots lately.

EDIT: For the record, I'm still an IEM noob.

I've just been using the stock tips which work fine for me. I probably just lucked out with the good fit?

I mostly use IEMs with my newer Android Walkmans from Sony.
Been collecting Walkmans since the old cassette tape models. I do have a small Leckerton amp but rarely find any need for it, personally.

Personally I preferred the older IM02 to the new LS200. There's a slight upper midrange bump in the LS200 that makes it a little too intense for me. Either that, or I'm so used to the sound of the IM02 that I'd need time to swallow the LS200's signature.

Either way, since the IM02 is discontinued I guess the LS200 still does its job as a pretty decent spiritual successor.

Probably that 3-5k difference. Doesn't sit too well with me but yeah, personal preference and all that.

Thanks @MuppetFace for the recommendation. These are wonderful sounding 'beaters' for plugging into my phone and going (w/mic and button).
