It would be cool if the same chassis was an option for the forthcoming Modi Multibit 2!

Down to about 80 Pietys on the Nitsch site. Anyone left on the fence, it's looking like you should act quickly.

Edit: Down to 35 already. Y'all have been warned!

Sold out in less than 12 hours. Honestly a bit disappointed it took this long :p

Congrats on a successful launch, may it portend many more.

THANKS EVERYONE...now I better get to Schiipping. Time to move 'em starting tomorrow!!! I still have to kit half of them in the packaging and with the right wall warts.

So...over the next two weeks I will get them out as quickly as I can! We'll all listen together over the holidays.

Community has been so cool to me over the past 13 years. Didn't and couldn't do this without you. And Jason- what an amp.

Yeah, this one's going to be fun to compare notes on. Lots of fun frames of reference. Tube amps? Magnis and other value specials? Continuity variants? Just so much to keep in mind.

Honestly this feels like a sane version of the hype that some of the Drop audio stuff used to get. Which makes sense. I remember a lot of weird ebay flipping for stuff like the THX 789, but I bet most of these actually get listened to.

And I had to be busy on that night! Congrats to CEETEE and everyone who could snag the amp! Meanwhile, I'll be waiting for the second-handed ones in the near future...

The parts seem to be inconsistent but current. I would imagine there would be future releases as they accumulate enough to make another batch

When I started my audio journey I committed to DIY almost everything. I bought a Magni 2U a long time ago as a baseline amp that would run any headphone while I built higher-end gear. A constant transconductance amp at this price though was not going to be ignored. Plus i wouldn't even know how to DIY something similar and would just build a big beefy Class A

Answering my own question but the layout of the newer Magni's is different. Gain switch is up front and headphone jack is on the left now (like @purr1n 's proto). Minimizing costs was likely a priority and additional engineering on a small production run would have resulted in some price increase.

Does your photo and commentary suggest the Piety is supplanting your Dennis Had Inspire amp?
    That would be incredibly impressive.
Please give some sound comparisons when you have time.
    Thanks.

Especially incredible that it was by word of mouth in the audio community, without marketing campaign or advertising.

I've only been around the community 4 years or so, but I haven't witnessed a hype train like this before.. Glad I got in on it. At least til my wife finds out..

To those who missed out. There was only a guarantee of 1000 units given parts availability. So who wants me to bug @CEE TEE to see how many more parts can be scrounged up for another run of X units? Maybe 200, maybe 500?

I briefly wondered in my head the other day if the Piety launch should be used as a case study for audio marketing and hype (not a backhanded comment at ceetee). Absolutely phenomenal launch for an audio product.

After 10 seconds of speculation in my head, I wonder how much of it was hype vs great product management though - it hits a lot of what the market wants right now. Mostly with cheap enough, sounds good enough, and also convenient enough. The amp I heard in Austin wasn't the return of some audio messiah as one may think after reading through SBAF this weekend, but I still knew I'd buy one after 1 minute of listening (and I did) despite having 0 "actual" need for it.
