I'm a prime member.. and it did not work for me (tried just now).

 

I also posted it on the Steve Hoffman Forum. So far it worked for one member and didn't work for another. I don't have any insight as to why.

[Edit] I Googled WDEARLY20. Several hits with people saying it worked for them / didn't work for them. Some say use WDEARLY (rather than WDEARLY20). Other stuff like calling Customer Service...

Sorry all you people reselling for $500+. A used Mojo should be around $350-$400.

 

What am I missing here? Price is GBP 399. At 1.32 exchange rate = USD $527, plus shipping. Is my math off or something. Still slightly cheaper depending on shipping, but not quite that great.

Someone mentioned customs and duties (yes, I said duty . Anyone know if such extra charges are added for UK to USA sales?

 

It's called VAT some sort of customs tax. The price I listed is after VAT.

 

VAT is the Value Added Tax that only applies to purchases inside Europe; its comparable to sales tax in the US, but much higher since it is a primary method for governments to collect revenue. Customs taxes are different and separate. I have no idea how those work for sites like Amazon UK

 

think I read somewhere that if it's below 800 usd value, then there is no custom duty charged.

 

High priced items may be different, but buying from amazon UK and shipping to the US is tax free just as if buying from amazon US. No import duties either. We also don't have to pay VAT and because of UK laws, prices shown include VAT. So what you see is actually more than what you will actually pay.

US customers do have to pay shipping though. It was only $12 for 7 day shipping for me when I ordered from them a couple months ago, but I am a prime member so it could be different for non-prime members. There was also a 3 day shipping option, but it obviously costs more.

 

What's the shipping carrier used by AmazonGlobal Standard/Priority when shipping from the UK to the US? UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS, etc.? I'm a Prime (US) member.

 

Checkout with the item until you see the final price, it has customs and duties included if any since Amazon pays these to the carrier on your behalf.

Usually UPS.

 

I'm getting $277 shipped. Is this a good price for the HD650? I have the HD600 so hesitant to pull the trigger.
