I take it you've never been to B&H? It is an outstanding store and they are very proud of the heritage of the company and people in it. If are in Manhattan it is a must seen, even if you aren't into their products. From an examination of a business it is amazing how they manage inventory with conveyers running under the counters. I was fortunate enough to see the basement where the magic actually happens. It's a like a high-tech warehouse but they were like that in early the 2000's, and possibly even earlier than that.

Totally agree with all of this. It's an amazing place if you are in NYC, especially if you go through Penn Station as it's just a block away. Amazing amount of gear they carry, they know their equipment well, and the conveyor stuff is cool also. Just don't try to order or visit Friday afternoon or Saturday! Shabbat shalom.

 

Schiit Saga is available in black finish. (This is the first time I've seen that.)

Edit: I went back and took a look at the rest of the line. Black Ragnarok, Bifrost (again) & Jotunheim (still) are also available.

 

How is the UI these days? I remember it being rather sluggish in the past. I'm happily using my DX90 still, thinking the AKJR would be an upgrade.

 

The HD 6XX is up again on Massdrop. I'm tempted, even though I already own a 650.

Stax SR009 for $2,900 CAD. Seller claims they're unused. Hell of a discount for Canadians on this.

(I'd personally ask for the S/N on this and confirm with Stax, because it feels like there's a finger close to flipping my 'too good to be true' switch)

Head's up for September. If you were thinking about a Utopia, this looks like a good deal. We aren't sure what headphone needs to be traded in, but I'm thinking this might just be a sale, and even cheap headphones in working condition will work.

Edit: Privacy Badger had it disabled. Head-fi may be tracking through their images. Image works if you disable tracking cookies but allow everything else, though.
