/aside: How to turn an inconvenience into a crisis...

Went to a wedding a few months ago. Had put my camera in the boot, shut it, and realised I'd put my keys down. In the boot. And I'd used the unlock-boot-only-and-just-once button.

It wasn't far from home. Went and told wife, just done something stupid: I need your keys to go and fetch the spare car key. I did not want to hear: "I left them in the car." She never did that before and certainly won't do it again. And I'll never put my keys down like that again.

We were looking for a locksmith to get us into our house with minimum damage, but the guy said, "I can't. But I can get into your car." And he did, with a lovely inflatable cushion to force the door open a bit and a super rod with a hook,

Can look back and laugh at it now but it wasn't funny at the time

A perfect storm of questionable choices... it happens sometimes. Definitely more amusing in hindsight than at the time of occurrence.

What parents like their kids, love sure, hell yes, but like....

 

At least she isn't Ms D. H. S. Moore.

Or... Maybe she is! but chose not to use her middle names.
