This forum has terrible customer service. Luckily it's good and cheap (free).

I have several product/service ideas that I am 99% certain would be viable businesses/companies, but I honestly don't want to deal with the general public consumer and the headaches that come with them. The companies I have started basically only deal with others who have skin in the game (ie other entrepreneurs and those who are genuinely trying to help themselves or their communities).

Hey I'd take cheap, good and rude any day. One of the best supper yong tau hu stalls here has an ordering system that is confusing as heck and the auntie yells the hell out of you if you don't know what's happening and never smiles. If you're a regular she is slightly less rude and sometimes throws in bigger portions. I'd go there more often if it was nearer to my house.

    Excellent!

This reminds of an indo-paki place I used to go to when I lived in Fremont CA. You line up and have to know the menu already. If not, there might be newspaper menus lying around. A burly dude then asks with a serious demeanor "what do you want?" He sort of rushes you to get your order in as quickly as possible. If not, he sorta goes f**k you and take the order of the dude right behind you in line. I think at that time, you paid right there after ordering.

After you order, you grab your own plates and utensils (assuming you know where to get them) and find a table. They mysteriously know where you will sit, but they do not tell you that. The dishes are brought at random times, presumably when they happen to be ready since they make food for everyone in the restaurant at the same time. My wife used to get kind of upset, saying how mean that guy at the counter was, and not knowing when the heck the dishes would arrive. Basically there is no service.

I loved the food and just stuck with it. One day, the guy at the counter recognized us and gave us a smile. That was the best thing ever for my wife. "You see, he's not mean." I told her.

There's a little Yakitori place in Torrance, Shin Sen Gumi that we started going to in the 90's. Same deal, you got your food whenever it was done, and it was clear you were way down on some pecking order as the service was distracted at best. But the food was great, so we persevered for months, going several times a week for lunch. Slowly we started getting our food all together, and we got greeted and learned to greet ourselves with some deference (we were in our twenties).

We had demonstrated loyalty, and so had moved up the pecking order (even as Gaijin). Then my Mom came to visit and we took her there. They instantly realized what was happening and they put on a show of service like no other! To this day that is the best experience I have ever had at any restaurant.

So far I have nothing but positive experience with Schiit customer care and not once but multiple times be it for returning items or raising tickets for servicing. The reply has been prompt and it doesn't matter how stupid my requests or questions were I have got positive reply from them.
And in times like this it's expected that companies will be extra careful with fraudulent orders and I'm quite sure all it would have taken was one email from the said person, whose order was cancelled, to recorder the item and settle this without making a scene out of it.
