THX had a couple of demo AAA amps at CanJam SoCal 2017. Pretty much everyone who heard them agreed that they were both really good, including @Out Of Your Head and @Audio Zenith... I think the Massdrop offering could be the next FOTM amp.

"am out very late at a super posh 5-star restaurant with @zerodeefex . trying to decide between appetizers: the octopus carpaccio or scratch made polenta with dill drizzle as a better match with a 1960s Bordeaux.
hopefully the garlic seasoning to the lamb shanks retains balance, perhaps ending with a palette cleansing set of fruit gelato offerings which match the Eau De Vie de Poire Williams digestif."

    From High Def Digest:

"Meanwhile, the Massdrop-Made 789 Desktop Headphone Amplifier features a bridged THX AAA-789 design rated for an output power of 2 x 6000mW, 16 Ω, and 136 dB SNR low noise with -140 dB THD @ 300 Ω, 2V. The amp supports any pair of headphones, including high impedance, high current, and high sensitivity models. We had a chance to demo the amp at CES with some high-end Sennheiser headphones. The compact device offered clear, clean, and transparent audio with no noticeable distortion across rock, pop, jazz, and classical music tracks."
