I have a couple components that use the 6DJ8 family of tubes and I also have a Schiit Freya on order, so I've been buying some used or NOS 6SN7 tubes on eBay in anticipation of getting the Freya. I'm not spending huge amounts of money on tubes, low to mid priced NOS tubes I would say. Once I figure out which ones I prefer, I'm sure I'll have an assortment that I could certainly resell, or I was thinking that I could contribute them to a loaner program. Tube rolling can certainly become an expensive hobby. There's an expense for most people, just to figure out if it's worth engaging in tube rolling in the first place, or if you would have been happier saving your money and sticking with stock tubes.

So what I'm proposing is a tube loaner program; so people can try out (roll) a variety of tubes, without having to purchase the tubes themselves. I'll be happy to contribute a variety of 6SN7 tubes to start off loaning of that tube family, after I'm able to test them out in my Freya. Other people could contribute pairs of tubes to the loaner program.

I guess what I'm envisioning is that you're not getting a pair of tubes at a time, but let's say half a dozen pairs from the same family at the same time. So you can roll tubes, without the normal expense.

Has this been tried? Thoughts on potential issues?
