Absolutely shocked no one has mentioned The Knick. That show is up there with Breaking Bad and The Wire as an all timer. Masterful storytelling both visually and narratively. See it immediately. They accomplish in a short two seasons what many shows take four or five to do.

Fantastic acting and a good story...I have to admit I was somewhat disappointed with the finale though.

For fans of sci-fi I would heartily recommend ASCENSION on Netflix. One and only season that ends with a surprise bang.

This thread might need a merge with the What show are you watching now? one, which has more recent content.

Having said that: season 3 of The Fall is slow so far. Killing Eve was good, but the last episode got silly.

I'd rather not post any spoilers, so I'll tr to be careful here.

I just felt the the whole 'method' they utilized to be almost a cop out.

I was interested to find out that it was based in reality of sorts in that it had happened around that time, and it did fit with Dr. Thackery's hubris, but it felt more like a device to me. Almost like they knew they wanted to end the show, and that's what they came up with.

I definitely may be over thinking it, but it I felt it wasn't as creative as they had been and just left a bad taste in my mouth at the time.
