Here’s some shitty iPhone pictures but you get the idea

dual sturdy zippers that open/close super easy no catch-ups or snags. iPod touch 6th gen for size comparison.

About the same size as the Campfire Audio case but a bit rounder and a bit bigger

Look how nice and loose your iem’s can coil inside. No stressing the cable. Easy to put in and take out. Especially if you flip them after cooling so the iem’s are on the bottom and the cable jack is on top. Then you just pull on the cable jack and it uncoils tangle free.

a shot of the roomy pouch. Quite a bit of space. Could hold lots of tips or extra cable without crowding the iem’s.

I can’t say enough good things about this eBay case.

    https://www.ebay.com/c/5018446589

I like it so much I wrote a review on eBay for it though it hasn’t shown up on the item page. The zippers are really high quality, better than the EDC3 case and Campfire Audio cases. It’s really tough for good protection but soft enough to pack easy unlike a pelican case. I can’t imagine needing a sturdier case than this. And the size is perfect so your iem cables don’t get kinked or wound too tightly. Here’s more pics comparing to Campfire case and Brainwavz B400 case.

size is about the same as campfire audio case but that’s the only thing they have in common. eBay case is stronger and as you can see below, way more accessible to put in take out iems unlike the super annoying barely openable CA case. Plus the eBay case has a pouch that can easily hold a spare cable or tons of tips though they tend to come out while it’s shut because the pouch is super roomy.

Look how tiny you have to coil the iems to fit the brainwavz case!! There’s so little space! Jesus. No comparison here.

    And it’s only 9$.

sorry for the rave but this deserves it. I bought 5 of them. 4 for my iems and 1 to send on a future loaner iem tour.

Only problem is I can’t tell which iem is in which case. I’m thinking of tying some string to one of the zippers to code it by number of strings or kind of string etc.

I use these ABS cases, which are small, inexpensive, and sturdy:

    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32978075773.html

They make vague claims about them being water resistant, but there is no gasket around the seam where they close, so while there is moisture resistance, I wouldn't trust submerging them.

There is one correct answer to this thread:

    https://www.vannuys.co.jp/official/po_earcase/

Van Nuys is the epitome of the Japanese ideal of conformance and specificity. Want a case for a single pair of IEMs? Sure. A single pair of large IEMs? Sure. 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 20 or even 24 pair of IEMs in one portable case? Also sure. Every case is near infinitely reconfigurable. You can attach cases to each other, attach cases to DAP holders, to their own backpacks in 15 different ways. There's a big insert for CIEMs of people with big ears, and a small one for small ears. There's a specific case for people who like to use monstrously thick cables with IEMs. I have a case specifically made for the SP1000 + AMP plus two pairs of IEMs.

Van Nuys is a lifestyle all unto itself. If you buy enough of their stuff, you never lose anything because there's one very specialized place to put every little piece of stuff that you carry when you leave the house. You'll end up looking a little bit like a Japanese wage slave who actually enjoys that lifestyle. That's the best part of it, IMO.

Do you really want to be that oaf who uses an 8-cell holder for your 6 eneloop AA's?

Brilliant post, and a ton of ideas I am going to rip off when I get a chance to make things with leather again.

They've got some pretty neat tricks. If you want to work with velcro you can do something with their modular style which means that any case can always be used either (1) fully closed with a clasp or (2) open on one side to run a cable out from or (3) open on two sides so you can push the headphone holder through with one hand or even (4) semi-open with the right edge insert used as a flap.

I don't know how you'd do it with leather, though, maybe with leather bonded to velcro.

Found a nice bigger case by DD at AliExpress. It appears to hold 4 DAPS and their IEMs and cords. Lots of small to medium pockets on the skinnier side. It comes with a nice strap to carry it like a purse or the strap I attached in the pics. Around $65.
