Even if all the tubes listed would gross double the $3000 CAD price if sold individually, would any hobbyist want to go to the trouble? This guy doesnt want to. Or, could an individual find $3000 worth of tubes they could personally use from the collection?

This is actually an issue that's coming up with more and more long term sellers. With all the fraud issues and costs of selling off a collection piecemeal many collectors don't even bother trying to sell expensive tubes anymore.

Best case: If you see something you need buy the collection then immediately sell it on for the same price or more, minus the tube(s) you kept.

 

Oh, absolutely. I wasn't clear, in that I'm not actually interested in the collection, but rather just saw some individual tubes that could have been interesting, and wondering if there were any gems within the boxes.

But from the full list posted, there really isn't anything that is a super amazing deal. The prices for the interesting individual tubes is too high.

Vifa Stockholm 1.0 for $450 which is almost the cheapest I've ever seen it. This thing is sort of like a soundbar with a bunch of features and connectivity options (bluetooth, wifi, etc). I have the Helsinki and Copenhagen which are the smaller portable versions of this.
