You bought the single-ended version which isn't capable of balanced output. Theta did offer an upgrade to balanced but it involves doubling the internal circuitry.

    https://www.stereophile.com/content/theta-ds-pro-generation-v-digital-processor
This doubling of the circuitry is what makes the balanced Gen.V cost $1800 more than the single-ended version. You can convert your single-ended Gen.V to fully balanced for a little more than the cost of buying it balanced in the first place. (Theta hadn't set a price on the upgrade by press time.)

A word of caution - I had a horrible experience with the Senn eBay shop exactly a year ago. They listed new HD600 phones for $200, probably learned about it on the Deals Thread here. Placed my order and got a confirmation. Then nothing, no shipping information. After a week, I contacted them, and was told none were available. I told them my card had been charged, so please refund. They said I'd have to request the refund through eBay. Screw you, I told Visa that it was a fraudulent transaction and let them deal with it.

Same. I purchased a $200 HD600 and after two weeks they cancelled the order saying they miscalculated inventory. Understandable. They gave me a 35% off coupon for future purchases for my troubles. So a few days later they relist HD600 at $230. I add to cart, apply coupon which came to about $150. Just like last still no updates. Hasnt quite been two weeks yet though. I expect a cancellation order soon.

Maybe they learned a bit from those experiences. I bought a pair of cans just recently and they were as described and no issues with the purchase experience. About 6 contacts overall including 2 to see if I was happy. .

Phonitor SE at $550 shipped and Paypaled.
This is an insane price for a great amp (I used to have the X). SE in/out only.

Someone please rescue these unobtanium silver TX102's and put them into a decent case:

When I was into my TVC phase, I would have killed to get my hands on these.

This is a great SS headphone amp for <$1000. If I didn't have so many amps already I would have bought this.

Ouch. Wish I could have got a HD600 for $200 though.

I just don't get how you can have the uber rare silver TX102 and handmade silver parts... but then couldn't put a better finish on the wood or even line up the RCAs properly?

That’s the same unit linked on USAM earlier in the thread. And I think we discussed the same shoddy RCA jack orientation!

I actually ended up getting it myself, couple hours later.
I’ll pass the deal along to Friends if I end up selling it (knowing me, very likely…)

Come to think of it, that was also me who posted it!

edit: and it looks like the price just keeps falling; I think that's cheaper than just the silver at this point
