    Seems a little pricey. I paid much less for mine (granted it was from a fellow sbaf friend), but even looking at hifishark, these usually go for around $500ish with the Tung Sol tubes. Admittedly I'm not as familiar with the vinyl gear used market though.

    - looks like the amp is in great condition.

    I have the 5200 and had just bought the 5300 or I would have picked this up myself.

    - these amps can be biased much higher than stock without any other mods - really makes them sing. If you want to push XA250 type bias, then the filtering needs addressed and needs beefier heatsinks. Same FETs that the PASS gear uses and similar overall construction - IRF240/P9240

    I appreciate you posting about this but doesn’t seem much of a deal. I would think adding $250 for a 5-year warranty and new is not a big deal. I thought about this route but instead went for a Gen 1 Yggdrasil from a Friend. I can upgrade at my leisure and I get a 2-year warranty and end up with savings over the new price.

    Agreed, though value gets a little better for us blokes in Cal, with added cost of sales tax.

    For a Yggdrasil A2 though, I'd still buy new or go you're route and cover the purchase with a warranty.
