Indeed, just curious about your tuning goals, what kind of sonic differences your looking to achieve. Totally understandable if you don't want to spill the beans yet...

You know me - i don't like to speak about the sound of my creations. When time will come I'll present new model, answer any questions about technology but not about sound. What I can already confirm - Verum 2 will have fundamentally another driver and magnetic system.

Sure before asking any support I'll send headphones to reviewers, make an SBAF tour etc. But this will not be soon ;(

// sorry for offtop. While I'm on quarantine I'm making small non-audio projects that helps me to fund main project - Verum 2.

IMHO it is useful gadget, so please take a look what's this.

    // Offtop ended.

Happy to say that I've shipped today all January orders. Yep, in the middle of April ;( Sometimes I ship on purpose wrong collors. For example I now don't have boobing texture. Imho it's better to have headphones with another type of "wood" then waiting another month.
But now assembling got faster and I expect to ship all february orders within a week.

I would not do it without consulting the buyer first, some people are surprisingly picky in choosing colors.

Sure I ask before doing this. But you know, when it is a choice between wrong color tomorrow and correct some time later... maybe...if everything goes ok then it's pretty obvious what people choose in pm.

Ok, I'll check. Carbon will be correct color :D I'm asking people about swaps between "woods" usually.

Are there any issues using the Drop 789 THX directly with the Verums in single ended or balanced? I apologize in advance if this has been answered.

I've been lurking and watching a lot of feedback on these. New design is beautiful and I hope to own them one day. Keep up the good work!

+1 for Verum 1 and ECP DSHA3F combo. Coming from an Asgard 3, the DSHA3F seems to have made the headphones more alive, nimble, and resolving. It’s an impressive combination.

I really can't fault these headphones. They just do everything so well. One aspect I find many not mentioning is the stage perception. Depth is something many struggle to get right and is relied on dipping the upper mids to give that feel of distance. Verum can range from intimate, but they feel deep, they create a more out-of-head experience than other phones in it's class.

I've been switching between them and the Nighthawk which couldn't be more different and they're an interesting pair. I have a love hate feeling towards the nighthawk they do some things great but others it falls flat, for me it's a fun headphone with some cool design elements, a glorified bass head headphone really. Switching to Verum you get that sense of this is what my music really sounds like more than the NH. The HD650 gave me this same feeling but the issue with the HD650 is it really struggled to feel engaged with more upbeat music.

@Garuspik I also ordered the carbon variant but it was back in March 2019, please check your website mails/PMs. I tried to contact you but no response, I'm sure you're very busy but I was informed it might be easier to reach out to you here as you are more active. I look forward to hearing from you, and I can't wait to get your amazing headphones!

Just received the Verum 1 mk2 and found out that I received the wrong color (Ordered Zebrano and received Carbon)
    IMG-4398.jpg
I will give you the benefit of the doubt since we're dealing with the current outbreak, but I sincerely hope that you didn't ship mine with the wrong color on purpose.

If this was done on purpose to speed up the process, @Garuspik please ask the customer before doing so.

Anyway, I've had @ChaChaRealSmooth 's Verum 1 mk1 for a while so I'll comment on the updated headband and aesthetic for a bit.
    - If you are familiar with the ZMF headband style, the mk2 headband feels very similar to that. thin but elastic leather band that hugs your head with a metal part floating on top.
    - it's comfortable, but I'm not sure if it's anymore comfortable than the mk1 headband. I think I slightly prefer the comfort on the original headband.
    - Aesthetic wise, yeah this is a marked improvement over the original.
    - no more cat ear-esque looking headband. Now I don't have to worry about looking like Ariana Grande's groupie
    - really dig the Fibonacci spiral pattern
    - I like the change of connectors to 3.5mm from 2.5mm.

    @UltimaVZekken - i'll reply you on mail
@tommytakis - sorry for mistake. When I'm saying "ship wrong color on purpose" I mean I'm asking people before doing that. Mixed
After I've finally received magnets and because of lockdown and qarantine I was in a huge hurry to deliver orders.
About new headband and comfort. Mk2 is about 50 grams lighter then mk1. It is 10% and during long listening sessions imho it is a improvement.
How do you like new cable? And what is you feel about pressure of new headband?

@Garuspik no worries, I figured you had your hand full with everything during the crisis and I'm sure you didn't have any ill-intent. it's not a big deal tbh as Carbon would have been my second choice anyway

I think this will vary depending on people's head shape, but I feel that the mk1 headband distributed the pressure more evenly throughout the head. I feel it slightly more concentrated on top part of my head while the mk1 felt like a soft pillow hugging my head. Maybe because it clamps slightly more with the thicc leather cushion? Don't get me wrong, mk2 headband is very VERY comfortable as well! I was just nitpicking :)

new cable feels sturdy and nice!

Few thoughts about achieveing best comfort:
    1. Try position headband not exactly on the top of head but slightly towards your face. I hope my english is good enough to understand what i'm trying to say.
    2. If you feel that pressure is big - it can be CAREFULLY! decreased.

Take books\part of sofa\any other object that is bigger then your head for 6-8 cm and put it in that position for a night.
Important! Don't try to bend it manually - only in such GENTLE way. Verum 1 mk2 don't have big pressure. So if you want to stretch a hedband that means you'll need several % decrease. So please be carefull with stretching.
p,s, it's better to take off earpads before doing this.

You can try adding a comfortable cloth cover to that headband. In my case, it helped even out and smoothen the touch point quite a bit.
