Video games have come a long way and sometimes some of the best music can be found in video games. Feel free to share you favorite video game music, songs and covers. It doesn't matter if it's rock n' roll, techno, acoustic, audacious, heroic, scary, sad or just good old 8-bit classics. Anything goes. Just share something which you like and which suits your mood, that's all there is to it.

    I'll start with this one:

    @HappyMonkey

Megaman, Diablo and Bloodlines... nice choices. And Bloodlines had so much good music, it really set the mood.

One of my current favorite game soundtracks is "Destiny: Rise of Iron". It has a very epic feel to it and is recorded very well:

As an added bonus, you can download the soundtrack from the Destiny website in lossless formats.

Dancing Mad is always fun to listen to. It used to haunt my nightmares because Kefka was really hard back when I was a kid. Now I know cheese strats, so it's not so bad.

Journey is fantastic and I think the soundtrack had a lot to do with it. Looking at his work he also did Abzu which recently came out. Will have to play it soon.

My favorite Elder Scrolls soundtrack is by far Morrowinds. Jeremy Soule at his best. Best title track in the series too.

Oh man, I love video game music. Yes, its like modern pop music in terms of sound quality, but the emotional quality can be so much more engaging.

    Firsts, lets start off with:
    Zelda Reorchestrated: http://www.zreomusic.com/
100's of musicians combine their talents from all over the world to re-create Zelda OSTs using real instruments and orchestras. Ocarina of Time and several other Zelda games have been 100% completed.

A newish one many people have not played because it was a Wii exclusive:

If you like Final Fantasy soundtracks... In my opinion, this is some of Nobuo Umetsu's best work. Unfortunately, to get the full impact of any video game, you really have to play and experience it.

Also a newish one many people have not played due to being a Wii exclusive:

ACE+ combining with Yoko Shimomura & Yasunori Mitsuda create a great soundtrack.

An oldie, but rarely seen or heard since it was a PC-Engine CD game (TurboGrafx CD or Duo in the US):

100% Metal OST for a 100% awesome side-scroller bullet hell game. Gotta turn this up since the mix seems compressed DOWN in volume instead of up of like most new badly mastered tracks.

Last and definitely my all time favorite game OST:

This OST fits so well with the game that, to me, it is a masterpiece. I can remember nearly the entire game just by listening to this soundtrack. Hitoshi Sakimoto and Masaharu Iwata.

Other OSTs that I listen to frequently, but the list was already getting long and some have been posted above:
    Valkyrie Profile
    Plants vs. Zombies
    Transistor (PC)
    Bastion (PC)
    Dust: An Elysian Tail
Bust A Move 1 (AKA Bust A Groove 1 in the US) (PS1)
Bioshock: Infinite (gimmicky, but a really cool gimmick: reimagine pops songs from the moden age as 1890's - 1920's songs)
    World of Goo
A bunch of Final Fantasy OSTs with FFVI (AKA Final Fantasy III in the US before the rebranding) and FFVII
    Legend of Mana (SNES)
    Ookami
