I finished my needle drops of the 3 singles plus the one LP. The 12" singles were all on "regular" black vinyl, while the LP (Closer) was on clear ("crystal") vinyl. I don't know if the type of vinyl had something to do with it, but the singles needed a bare minimum of click/pop removal post-needle drop. They were practically pristine! The LP on clear vinyl needed more work per song. I am almost finished with side 1 now.
One of the best versions out there...

Gurrumul, an Australian aboriginal man (Gumal/Gumatj). Sadly died a couple of years ago. It's not uncommon to hear people describe singers as angelic. Forget them all, this man has the voice of an angel.

That's one helluva blues voice. Never heard the name, but her voice just reached out of the past & into my head.
A random find. Funky, dancy, great mix -- with excellent textures and spatial effects.
