P.S. Too much Tame Impala and MGMT today. Last song for now.
Nothing like Margot's voice to set the mood on valentine's day
I dare anyone to listen to this and not groove your head to the beat. A great sounding recording to boot:
If you need healthy grooves, get some "Vitamin C"...
Can't go wrong starting the morning with some Creedence

They take me back to the golden age.
I just finished playing the Black Mesa remake of Half Life. The original soundtrack is great, and the Xen soundtrack is just fantastic.
Rush - Hemispheres. I'm a huge fan of pre-1982 Rush, saw them x2 during that period.
JS Bach - "Wenn wir in hochsten Noten sein" - From his Orgelbuchlein. Played this when I spent a year or so learning organ about five years ago.
Bach was in prison for a short time in 1717, the same year in which he finished writing his Orgelbuchlein (Small Book for Organ). Given the lyrics that go along with this chorale setting, I'd like to imagine him writing this one while he was locked up:
When in the hour of utmost need
We know not where to look for aid,
When days and nights of anxious thought
Nor help nor counsel yet have brought,
Then this our comfort is alone,
That we may meet before Thy throne,
And cry, O faithful God, to Thee,
For rescue from our misery.
I've also been listening to Billy Joel's album "The Stranger". I was reminded of struggling to learn to coordinate four limbs when playing the organ. Here's "Get It Right The First Time", something I never did LOL.
Really interesting album (Lonesome as a Shadow). Kind of a mix of country, blues, and soul.
