What's Your Job IRL?

I am senior director of finance and compliance at a large healthcare/medical company. Spent a good amount of time in middle market PE and motion picture / music entertainment.

I deal mainly with the company's complex transactions, acquisitions, financial instruments, SEC reporting and of course taxes.

 

Until last year an international management student, full-time. After that and nowadays back in hospitality as a waiter, host and all-round employee.

I like hospitality. Experience taught me that bad management can bring down everything.

 

Wow, thats cool, Did not know you did that other stuff.

Im a student. Go to school.
Hopefully going to college for acoustical engineering and eventually creating my own speaker company.

I am a medical doctor specialized in Anesthesiology. I did post graduate training in the Navy and was active duty up until 3 years ago. I got to live in Japan for a couple of years and also spent over 6 months in lovely Afghanistan. It was during my deployment that I started getting into headphones since I obviously couldn't bring my stereo. It is really interesting to see so many physicians here!

I am now applying to start an MBA program so I can start down the road to more administrative positions.

I am happy to answer any and all questions relating to the practice of Anesthesia!

 

Kudos to both. I wish I had the intellect and persistence to study medicine.

Social Worker in a group home for ex-street people (chronically homeless) suffering from Schizophrenia. I worked in homeless shelters for a bit - very intense. Did a few years suicide prevention phone work. Before that, about 20 years retail. Selling books and music is fun, cars not so much.

 

I am a Sr. Systems Admin at a local hospital and insurance company.

 

Full time student working with the dissertation.
Music, coffee, and wine are my most important energizers.

 

Junior NOC Engineer. I currently do that part time while I am full time student.

 

Video game designer at Blizzard. Basically, I get paid to make puns.

That is a field I hold in high esteem. Any field that requires a strong intellect and equally powerful liver demands respect. I saw it first hand when I earned a bachelors in Classics.
