Where to plug in?

Looking for a little help please.

Today I went and acquired a Nordost Blue Heaven SPDIF cable and a Blue Heaven Power cord as well.

This a complete NOOB question but which would achieve the most efficacy with the power cord - the source, the headphone amp or the dac (Schiit Bifrost 2) ? The amp already has it's own regulated power supply.

My gut tells me the source (Marantz CD6006) but I lack experience and would value any and all advice.

My gut tells me that you could plug your desk lamp in with it and get the same effect on sound.

 

I suppose the Marantz is your transport - In that case try hooking it up to your Bifrost first to see if you like the changes (if any).

To be honest, it's actually quite hard to tell and needs some more tinkering about, not all gears react the same way to power cable tweaks - I've heard some which sounded worse, some better, some others nothing at all. Hence, not sure if it's really worth the nervosa.

In your case, I would recommend using the smart plug to get the most efficiency. If you are looking for a good smart plug, try searching for a good *link removed* I bought a couple of them for my car and house because my wife god some devices that require special sockets(she is from western Europe). Need to mention that the smart plug is very comfortable to use if you are travelling a lot. You will never have a problem charging your devices in other countries. If you want, you can try using smart plugs in your car. If you wish, I can send you the link to the shop where you buy amazon smart plugs.
