Where's the cassette section??

TT's all well and fine but where's the tape section??
I'm outraged to the point of posting this rant/request demanding that a cassette/reel tape sub-section be added!

Well, a bit cheeky of me to presume anyone else as old and decrepit as me would be interested in tape around here but I'd be interested to hear about anyone else's interest in the format.

I'm old enough to remember it first time around sadly and got back into it after rediscovering a recording of David Sylvians 'Brilliant Trees' and 'Gone To Earth' from vinyl that I made on a Sony Metal ES '87 era cassette back in the day, around '87/'88. Revived my old Yamaha KX580ES and played the tape and it sounded amazing! Almost like I'd made it yesterday!
Hence that spawned a new interest in all things cassette and led to a very expensive rekindling of lust towards Nakamichi, Sony and Yamaha decks.
Have 3 Dragons in the brood as well as numerous Yamaha decks of varying vintage as well as some lovely refurbed Sony portables.
If anyone tells you cassette sounds crap I'd suggest just getting some decent media and hardware and give it a whirl! The results may surprise you
