Worried that Drop won't be the same without CEE TEE

    Oh no! I was hoping I could get my NuForce Move polarity issue serviced, but with @CEE TEE out of the picture, I suppose it’s out of the window?

    They literally sent an email to EVERYONE who participated in the drop. I know because I got it and opted to send mine in to be replaced.

    I don’t want to derail the thread, but again, you made me bring up my regional issues. Please move my post elsewhere if you feel it’s irrelevant.

    I’m not sure about other non-US residents, but after Massdrop became Drop, they decided that they would no longer sell to Korea for some reason, even to loyal customers like me who had already purchased nearly a dozen stuff from them over the last few years. I wanted the Move but was blocked from ordering it because of where I lived. In the end, I had no choice but to ask someone who lives in the US (who’s not in the audio hobby at all) to join the Drop website, purchase it, and then buy it from him. Only to realize that it needed polarity correction.

    So I emailed Drop, but was given a bullshit reply that they are only offering repair or replacement of Move the to the first, original owners, and that since I’m technically the second owner, I’m not eligible for their service even though they knew damn well that my Move was already broken when it left their factory. To make matters worse, I could no longer reach out to the original buyer.

    Since @CEE TEE was involved with Drop projects, I was hoping for him as a Friend to help cut through the red tape, that’s all. But I guess SBAF has cut all friendly ties with Drop (which I don’t blame, I can understand why @CEE TEE left considering what an asshole of a company they’ve become).

    And I don’t blame US members (whom AFAIK make up the majority of SBAF) for not being able to sympathize with my predicament, because obviously you never had to undergo the kind of PITA issues I experience when buying stuff from overseas. But accusing me of being lazy, ignorant or gear cycling (when I’m buying simply for the sake of auditioning) without understanding my situation is another story.

    Moved to this thread for discussion. Dislike was mostly due to derailing of thread with personal woes.

    I am going to check my junkmail but i didnt have anything in my inbox today. Was that email sent today? I still havent received anything but i am in Europe so i dont know...

    So what changed as Drop if you live in the US? Is the product offering going in a different direction now?
