Looking for four (good) socket savers. Tube monger is out of stock, having trouble locating non-crap versions.

I use the tube adapters made by Woo Audio with my Liquid Glass. Not cheap. $40 each for a socket saver version. I have a pair of the socket saver version and a pair of the 7N7 adapter version.

After reading what can happen with cheap tube adapters/socket savers, I don't mind the cost. Peace of mind is worth paying for.
They ship in 1-2 weeks though and I'd love to get my hands on some before then if at all possible. Tube monger quoted me about that long until they come back in stock.
I have some tubes I'd love to get my ears on but recessed sockets are not the best combo with fat tubes.

That's exactly how I justified the cost. My Liquid Glass is too precious to trust a random quality socket saver that might fry the amp. Plus the Woo adapters look good (well, they look better than other socket savers).

With cheap bakelite socket savers from ebay, at least you can easily unscrew the cap and inspect the soldering job to make sure that there's no possibility of any stray solder bridging two pins that would lead to short circuits. Still, if you feel paranoid, then buy from reputable sources like tubemonger and Woo Audio. I remember one of my tubemonger socket savers arriving with an issue where the sockets were unable to allow pins for the tubes that they were design for to be inserted therein. To their credit, tubemonger quickly replaced it with a working one at no charge. Really nice people in my experience.
