Xec needs listening/whisky room advice

So I did some more calculating.

With an empty room, T60 of 1.476 seconds. You have a bit of treatment and a couch, getting your measurements of around 500ms. Ill try adding some of that treatment to my model. The coolest thing about this program though, is the ray tracer.
Using the ray tracer, you can see the path the sound will take from source to receiver. I am keeping the order at 1 for now, so we are just looking at first reflections

You can see the sound bouncing off the ceiling and floor, right in front of that first pillar. That would be a good place for carpeting, and ceiling treatment.
Looking at it from the top, you can see where wall treatment needs to go

I am not sure why it is only on the right side. I would thing it would be on the left as well...
Either way I would put treatment approximately where those rays hit the wall on the right side, and the equivalent location on the left. One more place to address is the wall behind the listener, you can see the rays forming a W shape there. This is less strong that the side and floor/ceiling ones, but still important.

 

Um, dude... is there a tutorial or something or how to use this page? It looks super cool but I need a bit of a starting point here.

Not to start some shit but from what i read most in the industry seem to disagree with the guy. All I'm saying is maybe look for a second opinion.

 

Yeh he is a salesman first and foremost. I'm not using Dennis because I don't really like him much. I have two acousticians giving me opinions one who makes panels for studios (free advice) and the other one is ex Dr. Toole colleague who wants me to pay for a comprehensive analysis but has been very helpful with free advice so far.
I'll send the exact speaker positions to @spwath because they are bit off and would love to see those reflection points.

@spwath the speakers are 150cm from the rear glass window to the centre of the woofer, and 95cm from the side glass to the centre woofer.

on the other side this is 150cm from the glass, and 95cm from the wall (RHS)

woofers are 65cm off the floor.

I would love for a mod to change the name of this thread to something like Xecuter's build log and treatment journey.
I'm prepared to invest my time and money, make heaps of mistakes and document it all for you guys.
