Thanks YtseJammer. I’m working to improve. Hopefully posting less often with better content.

Very little ambiguity in your review, which is rare and refreshing compared to others. Kudos!

Edit: I very much enjoyed how you spelled out your meaning of each category.

Speaking of ambiguity, one question: are you actually super friendly?

Did someone compare the Universe Leather pads and the Universe Hybrid pads? I really like the sound with the Universe Hybrid pads, but I'm wondering if it's worth trying the all leather version as well.

This is probably not a surprise to a lot of people here, but it was to me. I tried listening to the VC this AM without my glasses and it made a significant difference.

It isn’t the first time I’ve compared headphones with and without glasses, and usually I can’t hear any difference. My glasses are the memory metal type with thin arms that are flexible and sit close to my skull. Generally they don’t affect the seal around my ears to a level I can hear. Not so with the VC (Universe pads). I thought they sounded good before, but now.... Wow!

I’ve attached a pic so you can see the glasses are really pretty thin and why they don’t normally impact the sound.

When I had the VC I noticed this as well, however with a little bit of finagling/adjustment I was always able to get a seal around my glasses that was as good as without glasses. It then became just a comfort issue - the VC just sat on my head better without glasses...

    Nice ceiling!

I’m glad I’m not the only one who picks glasses for headphone compatibility. I have some RayBans with flexible nylon arms. Way better than my past chunky plastics frames.

Call me crazy, but I don't hear a difference with or without my glasses. (With the Universe Hybrid pads.)

Could be the differences in the shape of our heads, or the difference in the pads. Something else I thought of as well- it could also be because my pads were cold and probably a little stiff when I did the experiment. My headphone station is in the corner of the living room and has windows on both sides. It was around 0 deg F (-18 C) outside at the time.

Are you using the Universe Leather pads? Maybe it's because I'm using the Universe Hybrid pads?

It was -25 Celsius in Montreal this morning

I wear reading glasses with thin arms and progressive lens with wider arms. I find a profound inability to get a seal with most pads if I’m wearing my progressive lens. With the reading glasses, I have the seam in the hybrid pads on my Auteurs lined up with the thin arms. This stems to maximize the seal and give me the best sound.

For reference, I have even more dramatic sealing issues with mad Dog Pro and Beyer headphones. I wear an extra large (size 7.5) hat.

My apologies if I don't understand how to communicate in this system..... Can't understand how Zac sells anything when there are no U.S. stores to listen to his products! I'm in San Diego . Can "eat tacos" or anyone in southern CA allow me to listen to a VC? Thanks!

I was asking people in the San Diego area if I could listen to their VC. I got 5 dislikes! What am I doing to piss everyone off?
