Indeed it makes more sense to have silver with the carbon! Same for the little knibs to tighten the headband. It's an obvious combo, since the carbon is grey metallic.

Edit: and do not wait to change the options. True professionality is showing everyone that you listen to feedback!

I will probably go bubinga and gomd though because I love the vintage art deco 20's luxury look of these!

You were warned about giving color options As soon as there any choice there are unhappy people unsatisfied with options available. Same people would be happier without having to choose.

Anyway, interesting how the FR on Verum 1 fairly closely resembles the newest Code-X variant based on the 2017 HE-5 reissue. Would love to do a direct comparison.

If they're competitive at all, Verum is even more of a steal than previously thought.

 

Yeah i tried to get a simple color from him to no avail unfortunately. I am more of a simple guy and personally carbon is too much for me so i will got with whatever or just unpainted (although he warned me its very ugly unpainted).

 

based on the plastic used, I think he is correct. You don't want this on your head

Does the grille material depends on the color? (You know like silver color is from solid 999 silver grille and gold color from 24K gold?)

"Rat look" may be the coming fashion in headphones, who knows: Quality build & high tech performance, but untreated wood and rusty grills, w leather from worn out military boots and jackets... I would love it! (even if there might be an element of snobbism involved: "Look at me how I despise glossy shine and everything superficial!")*.

*On the 3rd hand:"look at me how I do not care about being considered an (inverted) snob"!
