Thinking about getting some orthos to go with the BW. Has anyone tried the LFF Enigmas? They look pretty interesting but are fairly pricey. Other closed options besides the fostex family?

 

General advice thread or headphone section of the forum can help ya.

 

I guess I was wondering what orthos people had tried / paired well with the BW. I'll also ask over in the proper area however

 

Quick question: Has the BW a Pre-Amp Output so that I can connect it to some active Monitors??

hi so a person with the hd 800/S should go for BW or the zana deus

 

Zana if you could only have one.

 

Or you could get the BW and be done with SS amps forever while you save for a true endgame transformer coupled tube amp

 

...or get a true end game OTL like the Zana Deux.

 

I'm gonna get the BW to keep me occupied and save for Zana Deux. Really need both with the ridiculous amount of phones I have

 

Finally stumbled on this thread. Sent a pre-order request to Craig on the 8th and a revised request adding the "balanced"/XLR option after reading the discussions here.

I expect this'll be my endgame amp. Plan to order a Gungnir Multibit to go with it.

 

Try to find a black Gungnir Multibit, that stack would be awesome.

 

I'm envious of everyone putting their orders in. I won't have the funds to order until May, and who knows if there'll be any left by then.

It was pointed out to me (thanks @Gray!) that no deposit is required at this time, so I put in an order for a BW without the cinemag transformers. Even though I'm planning on getting a Gungnir Multibit, I think I'll be fine with the SE inputs. I'm trying not to push too far past $1,000 for any single element in my chain. I think the $1,289 price is fair to pay for an excellent single ended amp, but I couldn't justify the additional $300 for the balanced input. And if this is my endgame amp, which by all accounts it could be, then I also won't have to worry about getting or making balanced cables for my cans either.

Anyway, I'm glad I could get in on the list, and by the time it gets to my model, I'll have been able to save up so the funds won't be an issue either.

Probably a silly question, but does EC reply back to pre-order emails with confirmation?
